In-charge officers and collectors should communicate regularly: Chief Minister Chouhan

Bhopal 06 December 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the progress of vaccination work is good in Madhya Pradesh, but through Maha Abhiyan, our goal is to provide protection shield to the cent percent eligible population to save them from corona virus. The target is to vaccinate all the eligible people by the month of December. The officers of the Indian Administrative Service, assigned to the districts, should communicate with the collectors every day, while playing the role of the officer-in-charge with utmost seriousness. With public cooperation, we have succeeded in controlling this epidemic. With public awareness, public cooperation and observance of precautions, the fear of third wave has to be eliminated. We can counter any variant by following the necessary precautions, emphasising on Ghar Ghar Dastak and Roko-Toko campaigns for public awareness.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the status of corona control in the state at Mantralaya today. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman etc. were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that international travellers coming from other countries are being traced. RT-PCR test of these passengers is also being done. The situation is being monitored through strict monitoring. For this, the officers-in-charge and collectors should keep constant communication for everyone to stay alert. In areas where the vaccine doses are low, a door-to-door Dastak campaign will be conducted. There will be special emphasis on the promotion of the upcoming vaccination campaign on 8th, 16th and 22nd December, so that its benefit is ensured to the people left out of vaccination. Various organisations of the society, Crisis Management Committees and religious leaders will be involved for the awareness campaign. MPs, MLAs and public representatives will also join the campaign.

Covid control in a planned manner in the state

It was informed that 17 positive cases of Covid-19 have been registered in the state today. The total number of active cases is 138. Today 56 thousand 895 samples were taken for testing. The recovery rate of the state is 98.6 percent. The guidelines of the Government of India have been followed in the past as well. The spread of corona is being prevented in a comprehensively planned manner by following ITTV i.e. Identification, Isolation, Testing, Treatment and Vaccination in the state. The process of early detection of infection and prompt treatment is being followed. Till date, more than 2 crore 21 lakh samples have been taken in the state. 9 crore 12 lakh 8 thousand 38 vaccine doses have been administered in the state. Continuous work is being done in the state regarding Covid-19 and Variant of Concern Omicron. The work of tracing international passengers is going on continuously since December 2021. A total of 501 passengers have been traced. There is no positive report of any passenger.

Instructions given by Chief Minister Chouhan

Every day the officer-in-charge should discuss with the District Collector.
The District Collector and the members of the Crisis Management Committees should look after the necessary arrangements in the hospitals.
Inspect the condition of oxygen plants and ventilators.
Find out about the availability of life saving medicines including Remdesivir.
Also visit Covid Care Centre.
The citizens should be constantly urged for the second dose of the vaccine. Make sure that all eligible people get the dose of the vaccine.
Use a face mask and frequent hand-washing and social distancing precautions.
Guidance should also be given by the heads of various societies and religious leaders.
Voluntary organisations and volunteers should continuously inform the general public about the precautions to prevent the epidemic.
