Meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company Held
Bhopal 06 December 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the schemes run by various agencies should be continuously reviewed for the planned development of the cities. Agencies engaged in various works of development of cities should carry out the works of public welfare in coordination with each other. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the seventh meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company at Mantralaya today. Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh and Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing O.P.S. Bhadauria were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the ongoing works of sewerage scheme and water supply schemes in various cities should be completed in time. It was informed that last year with the help of World Bank under Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Project, Sevadha water supply scheme of Datia district and sewerage scheme of Shahdol district were approved. Along with this, approval has also been given this year regarding the supply of treated water based on Chambal River for Morena city area.
Information about the implementation of the decisions of the last meeting of the Board of Directors was given in the meeting. It was also agreed to increase the share capital of the company constituted in Madhya Pradesh Urban Infrastructure Fund to Rs 20 crore instead of Rs 10 crore. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Urban Development Manish Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Manoj Govil, Commissioner Urban Development Nikunj Shrivastava and other officers were present in the meeting – Window to News
