Chief Minister Chouhan provided contribution on Armed Flag Day

Bhopal 07 December 2021: On Armed Forces Flag Day, Director Sainik Welfare Directorate, Brigadier Arun Sehgal pinned a flag symbolizing the day to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Chief Minister Chouhan provided the amount on his behalf. A memento was also presented to Chief Minister Chouhan. Joint Director Sainik Welfare Commander Udai Singh and Assistant Director Colonel Sanjay Pradhan were present.

It is noteworthy that soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces attain martyrdom while performing their duty in defence of the country, internal security and natural calamities. To remember these soldiers, to honour them and to show respect for the soldiers by the citizens of the country December 7 is celebrated as Armed Forces Flag Day every year from the year 1949. On this day, financial assistance schemes related to the welfare and rehabilitation of dependent families of martyred soldiers, disabled soldiers, ex-servicemen, serving soldiers and their dependents are conducted from the amount collected by distributing car flags in motor vehicles and emblem flags – Window to News
