CM Chouhan launches ‘Rozgar Ki Padhai – Chalo ITI’
Bhopal (WTN Network) : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched ‘Rozgar ki Padhai – Chalo ITI’ campaign today at ITI, Bhopal. Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Union Minister Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) was present during the time of inauguration along with Cabinet Minister Babu Lal Gour; Minister Technical Education and Skill Development (Independent charge) Deepak Joshi; Bhopal MP Sanjay Sanjar; PS Technical Education and Skill Development Kalpana Srivastava and Director Skill Development Sanjeev Singh.
Minister Deepak Joshi told that ‘Rozgar ki Padhai – Chalo ITI’ campaign would be organised in four phases. In first phase summer camps will be organised in schools from May 11 to May 26 for school drop outs and other candidates, wherein they shall be trained 2 hours each day for three days on various skills at selected ITI. In second phase, the students who excel in first phase will be felicitated by state government on 30 May. In third and fourth phase various school students will be invited to visit ITI institutes and the importance of ITI training shall be spread all over the state for the youth.
Union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that the central government has allotted 30,000 crores for skill development. He added that today we need 25 lacs cameramen, 3 lacs drivers and likewise so many other skilled and unskilled workforce is required, but due to lack of training of that skill, the employment generation is either restricted or the payment to that worker is much lesser than what was optimum. Rudy also congratulated CM Chouhan making lot of efforts in skill development and creating employment for such candidate and categorically stated that he would rank MP as number one state in skill development.
CM Chouhan narrated success stories of ITI trained students who have either been gainfully employed or have become successful entrepreneurs after ITI. In an important announcement he informed that any student who completes 2 years of ITI after class 8th will be given certificate of passing class 10th and student who completes 2 years of ITI after class 10th will be given certificate of passing class 12th. CM also announced formation of “Global ITI center” at Bhopal in collaboration with Singapore. He launched ‘Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Samvardhan Yojana’ to improve skill training amoung youth through short term training progrtammes and ‘Mukhya Mantri Koshailya Yojana’ for skilling and providing employment or self- employment opportunities to women. He also informed that government shall facilitate loans for self-employment of ITI graduated by becoming the guarantor of loan.
