Lakha Banjara Lake work should be qualitative and as per new timeline

Bhopal 10 December 2021: The Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Lakha Banjara Lake is the identity and pride of Sagar. Its work was sanctioned during my last tenure but thereafter the work was delayed. Now, a new timeline has been fixed for the work. The construction agency and concerned departments have been directed to do the work of Lakha Banjara Lake qualitative and as per the new timeline.

The Chief Minister, Chouhan was inspecting the ongoing construction works at Lakha Banjara Lake under the Smart City Project at Sagar today.

The Chief Minister, Chouhan said that Sagar is a very ancient and historical city. About 1,000 crore rupees worth of works have been sanctioned in the Smart City Project to modernize it while fulfilling all its requirements. Some of these works are in progress.

The Chief Minister, Chouhan said that the Purana Sagar is being connected to Lakha Banjara Lake through an elevated corridor of 1.6 km. It will not only redesign Sagar but also facilitate communication of the people. It will be extended to the medical college in future.

Gopal Bhargava, Minister of Public Works, Cottage and Village Industries, Bhupendra Singh, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Govind Singh Rajput, Minister of Revenue and Transport, MLAs, MP and other public representatives were present on the occasion – Window to News
