CM Releases book "Bichhde Kai Bari Bari" in assembly auditorium
Bhopal 20 December 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan released the book "Bichhde Kai Bari Bari" in the Mansarovar Auditorium of the Vidhan Sabha. This book is based on the life and contribution of about a hundred journalists of the state who were untimely snatched during the cruel Corona period. Speaker Girish Gautam presided over this programme. The event was organised by Grameen Patrakarita Sansthan. Leader of Opposition Kamal Nath, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, former Union Minister Kantilal Bhuria, former State Minister Dr. Govind Singh, author of the book Dev Shrimali and Ravindra Jain were present in the programme.
Chief Minister Chouhan, in his soulful address, wished that such painful book, focused on the journalists who died during the Corona period, may not have be written again. Efforts should be made to avoid reoccurance of such unfortunate situations. In view of the possibility of a third wave, media should play the role of spreading awareness again. Everyone is to be encouraged to wear a mask. It is an effective means of protection. Chief Minister Chouhan said that at the time of first and second waves of corona infection, we have gone through a period of deep anguish. Everyone worked day and night to arrange beds, oxygen and life saving medicines in the hospitals. Chief Minister Chouhan said that though the death is inevitable. But if someone goes, he leaves behind feeling of pain. There are some personalities who are always remembered.
Chief Minister Chouhan paid tributes to the late journalists. Special mention was made of the services of Shiv Anurag Pateriya, Rajkumar Keswani. He said that Keswani wrote prior to the Bhopal Gas Tragedy, warning everyone. He was not happy that he received the BD Goenka Award for this report, but said that he wished this accident had not happened if the warnings given in his article were taken seriously. Similarly, Pateriya was the encyclopedia of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. He was a storehouse of knowledge, a moving library. We all should always be ready to extend all possible cooperation to the families of such deceased companions. Chief Minister Chouhan paid tributes to the departed journalists.
Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha, Girish Gautam said that Madhya Pradesh is among the states that have achieved good success in the vaccination work for protection from corona. Media has an important role in this. In view of the possibility of third wave, the media has again started awareness efforts.
The author of the book Dev Shrimali said that the Public Relations Department remained in action for extending cooperation to the journalists during the difficult Corona period. Along with financial assistance of four lakh rupees each, other types of assistance were also provided to the kin of the deceased companions.
