Bhopal 24 December 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that best of arrangements should be made to prevent the rise of Corona cases in the state. All preparations with past experience should be done well in advance to prevent a possible third wave.

Chief Minister Chouhan was taking a review meeting of Corona through video conference at Mantralaya today. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman, Collectors of all districts, Superintendents of Police etc. were present.

People have to be saved from third wave

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the danger of third wave is constantly on the rise. Positive cases in the state have also exceeded 200. Earlier cases of Corona were coming only in Indore and Bhopal, now gradually cases are coming in other districts also. At present there are no active cases in 34 districts. Cases are coming up in the surrounding states of Maharashtra and Gujarat. We must not forget our previous experience. Cases of Corona are coming up in almost all the states. Caution and safety measures are essential. All measures must be taken to protect the lives of the people.

Control on Covid must with top priority

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the target of Corona test should be increased. Too many cases are surfacing in America, England. Let us assume that Omicron is amidst us. Only citizens who have got both the doses of vaccine in the state will be able to go to gym, cinema hall and other places. It should also be ensured that economic activities are not adversely affected. There should be no shortage of oxygen. Take it on priority. Wearing a mask is a must. People should be appealed to get vaccinated and tested. Take control of the whole situation. Chief Minister Chouhan said that if we look at the situation in America, UK, Denmark, then Omicron is increasing rapidly. It is necessary to control Covid in the state with full responsibility and on top priority.

Avoid unnecessary gatherings

Chief Minister Chouhan said that a meeting should be held with the Crisis Management Committees. Ministers in-charge also join the meetings. To effectively prevent infection, avoid wearing masks, social distancing and unnecessary gatherings. Collector should make people follow it.

Continue administering vaccinations

Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated Collectors along with the departments in the vaccination. He said that we are number 1 in the country in the second dose of vaccine and we are almost number one in the first dose also. We must continue with the vaccinations. Government officials-employees should all be vaccinated.

Activate Crisis Management Group

Chief Minister Chouhan said that positive cases are coming up. Testing should be continued daily according to the target. In case anyone tests positive, contact tracing of 30 people should be done. If there is no arrangement for home isolation, get admitted to the hospital. There should be adequate arrangement of ventilators and beds in the hospitals. Oxygen lines should be maintained. Check isolation beds, PSA plant should be in running condition. Try turning on the concentrator. The power system should be fine and the generator should also be arranged. Keep at least one month stock of essential medicines. Re-mark the Covid Care Center. The contract has been extended till March 31 in the Chief Minister’s Covid Treatment Scheme.

Arrange technician for PSA plant. Prepare planning reports in all districts. Inspect the arrangement of beds in private and government hospitals through mapping. Coordinate with District Hospital, Medical College. Activate Crisis Management Group. Work with the public. Care should also be taken to save the livelihood of the poor.
