Chief Minister Chouhan unveils the statue of Sant Balinath ji
Bhopal 25 December 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the beloved saint of Bairwa community, Balinath Ji Maharaj, has contributed significantly in social reform, spread of education and eradication of evils. The Chief Minister announced that this award of five lakh rupees would be instituted by the state government in the name of Sant Maharaj. This award will be given to individuals and organizations working in the field of spreading education, preventing oppression of women and removing evils. Village Mandavari in Dausa district of Rajasthan, the place of birth and nirvana of Saint ji, will be linked with the Chief Minister's Teerth-Darshan Yatra Yojana.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the statue unveiling ceremony of Sant Balinath Ji Maharaj in Indore today. Chief Minister Chouhan unveiled the statue at Malwa Mill Square in Indore. Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, Tourism and Culture Minister Sushri Usha Thakur, MP Shankar Lalwani, MLA along with Gangadhar Jarwal of the statue building committee were specially present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the brothers of Bairwa community have helped in the construction of the statue by giving financial support out of their tireless hard work. This statue will always inspire us for noble deeds. He said that Sant Balinath Ji Maharaj was a wonderful saint. Since childhood, he was interested in religion and spirituality. He was a worshipper of Lord Shankar. He took Guru Diksha in his childhood. He was associated with the Nath sect.
By travelling throughout his life, he has done the work of removing narrowness and evils and spreading education. He also worked towards prevention of harassment of women. The entire state and the country are proud of his works. His statue will continue to inspire us to walk on the right path with religion and spirituality.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that help will be given in running the school of Bairwa society. He directed the Municipal Corporation Indore to prepare an action plan for the establishment of the library.
MLA Mahendra Hardia said that years old demand of Bairwa society has been fulfilled by the construction of the statue. Indore is the only city that has a statue of Sant Balinath Ji Maharaj and a grand gate named after him.
