Governor Patel launches India-Bangladesh visually impaired T20 Cricket Day and Night match
 
Bhopal 25 December 2021: The Governor, Mangubhai Patel has said that no weakness can be greater than confidence. Those who overcome weaknesses are the diamonds of the society. There are inspirations and ideals of future generations. Every player participating in a visually impaired cricket tournament is the winner of life. He said that if victory is a celebration of joy, defeat is a resolve to recognize new weaknesses.

The Governor, Patel was addressing the opening ceremony of the first day-night match of the India-Bangladesh T20 Visually Impaired Cricket Series organized by the National and State Cricket Association for Blinds today.

The Governor said that it is the truth of life to rise after fall down. Therefore, preparation for better performance is the only competition without worrying about the result. He said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, believes that weakness of one organ is not a weakness of a person. He has explained the view of the Government by identifying the special abilities of the individual and naming them Divyangjan. The Government has implemented a number of schemes for the benefit of Divyangjans. The Governor, Patel challenged the gathering to cooperate in providing benefits of these schemes to eligible persons with disabilities. He appreciated the efforts of the Cricket Association and the initiative to set up a visually impaired women's cricket team. The Governor, Patel, got the toss between Ashirkur Rahman, Captain,

Bangladesh team and Sunil Ramesh, Captain, Indian Team and got acquainted with the players of both the teams. Mr Patel inspired the team spirit and cheered their victory with the captains of both the teams. He encouraged the players. He also enjoyed five overs of the match.

Delivering the welcome address, Dr. Raghavendra Sharma, President, State Cricket Association for Blind in Madhya Pradesh said that a three-match ODI and T20 series has been held between India and Bangladesh. This is the second match of the T20 series. The Secretary General of The National Cricket Association for Blind in India, John David said that visually impaired cricket matches have been organized since 2010.
