Governor Patel visits astronomy fair organised at Raj Bhavan

Children of Raj Bhavan got information about astronomical facts
 
Bhopal 27 December 2021: Governor Mangubhai Patel visited the astronomy fair organised at Raj Bhavan. Patel had got a fair organised in the Kshipra Guest House courtyard of Raj Bhavan today to explain the nuances of astronomy to the children of the Raj Bhavan family and to make them observe the astronomical objects.

Arrangements were made for the observation of Saturn's ring, four moons of Jupiter and other celestial bodies through three giant telescopes, the largest portable Newtonian telescope in Central India. The machine showing the weight of a person on different planets was the main attraction in the exhibition. On this occasion programme source scientist Shailesh Sansare explained the principle of rocket launch through water rocketry workshop. A live model of the positions of various planets was also put in the exhibition. The nuances of astronomy were also given through power point presentations and posters under the leadership of National Awardee Science Broadcaster Sushri Sarika. The facility of listening to recordings of former President Dr. Kalam interacting with children and selfies with life-size cutouts of Indian astronaut Sunita Williams and photography in space suits was available – Window to News
