Bhopal 28 December 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during the review of Covid control today directed that in view of the cases of infection that are coming to the fore currently, proper arrangements should be made for isolation and treatment of those patients. The focus should be on curing the infected persons as soon as possible. Use of face masks and roko-toko campaign should be continued without break. Such efforts should be made that the situation of overcrowding should not be created. In marriage and other functions, care must be taken of the mutual distance between the people. With all the necessary precautions, the work of smooth conduct of economic activities should be done. Vaccination of adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years is starting from January 03 in the state. Such children who are born in the year 2007 or earlier, their registration will start from January 01. It should be conducted in the form of vaccination campaign. Apart from night curfew, there will be no other restrictions in the state. Social activities will operate with necessary measures to prevent infection. Everyone must get corona test done when in doubt.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that arrangements for attendance of students should continue in schools with 50 percent capacity. The situation may not be serious right now, but all necessary precautions should be taken. The Education Minister and Additional Chief Secretary Health should also review the situation daily. Chief Minister Chouhan also reviewed the preparations started in Madhya Pradesh after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of vaccination for the age group of 15 to 18 years. Chief Minister Chouhan also congratulated the Health Department of Madhya Pradesh for the best vaccination work in the country.
Tribal Affairs Minister Sushri Meena Singh and Minister of State for School Education (Independent Charge) Inder Singh Parmar, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajoura were present in the meeting held in Mantralaya. Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman gave a presentation.
Only 9 cases in the state, Chief Minister took information about each case
Chief Minister Chouhan took detailed information regarding 9 cases of Omicron in the state. Out of these infected patients, in 7 cases the patients have become completely healthy. The other two are also recovering. Serious symptoms have not been found in the patients. Chief Minister Chouhan said that contact tracing must be monitored.
Congratulations to the health team for the best vaccination work
It was informed in the meeting that first dose has been administered to 94.7 percent and the second dose to 90.2 percent of the eligible persons in Madhya Pradesh. Vaccine doses have been administered to more than 10 crore eligible citizens above 18 years of age in the state. Madhya Pradesh is at the forefront of all the states in the vaccination work. Expressing happiness for the top position of the state, Chief Minister Chouhan expected that the feat of 100 percent vaccination should be achieved in all the districts in the next three days. The progress of vaccination work is good. There are still 18 lakh 6 thousand people remaining in the state from the second dose. By the end of December, cent percent target of vaccination work should be completed in all the districts. It was informed in the meeting that Agar-Malwa district of the state has emerged as the district having cent percent vaccination of both the doses.
It was informed that such health workers, frontline workers and citizens above 60 years of age suffering from various diseases, who have received both the doses of the vaccine, are to be administered precaution doses. Benefit of voluntary vaccination will be given to persons having medical problems above the age of sixty years even without medical certificate. Instructions have been received from the Government of India regarding administration of precaution dose in the state from January 10.
Vaccination guideline for teenagers
According to an estimate, there will be about 48 lakh beneficiaries in the age group of 15 to 18 years for vaccination in Madhya Pradesh. It was informed in the meeting that registration will be done for the adolescents of this age group in the state on the Cowin-App/Cowin portal. They will be vaccinated from January 3. Adolescents will be given covaxin. Appointments can also be booked online or onsite (walk-in). Such beneficiaries can also be registered onsite by the verifier/vaccinator. School going students will get vaccinated in schools. The Education Department will cooperate in this campaign. Every student will be motivated to get vaccinated. 36.8 lakh students are enrolled in 17 thousand 892 schools of the state, the children who do not go to school, they will also be vaccinated at the vaccination centres of the schools. Apart from this, the vaccine will also be administered at Anganwadi centres and identified village level centres. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to ensure all necessary arrangements for this work.
Daily review should be done in the state, today the Central and state governments reviewed together
Chief Minister Chouhan said that daily review should be done by the Health Department. It was told in the meeting that 42 cases of corona have come in the state today. There have been a total of 6 thousand 358 cases in the country. There have been about one and a half thousand cases in Kerala and Maharashtra. Chief Minister Chouhan directed the senior officers of the Health Department to stay updated about the information related to the cases, arrangements being made in all the states of India as well as in different countries of the world. Today itself, the situation of Corona and Omicron was discussed and reviewed by the Central Government with the states at 01 pm by video conference. Immediately after this, Chief Minister Chouhan discussed and reviewed in detail the guidelines of the Government of India in Mantralaya and the progress of vaccination and the current status of infection in the state. Chief Minister Chouhan also gave detailed instructions.
Important instructions of Chief Minister Chouhan
Schools should be made vaccination centres. Along with the students studying in schools, the benefit of vaccination should also be given to the dropout children.
About 40 lakh students are estimated to be vaccinated in the state. Arrangements for administering vaccine in schools will also be made at different places respectively. All eligible children should be vaccinated.
Third dose (precaution) is to be administered to frontline workers, health workers and people above 60 years of age with severe diseases. Give priority to this task.
Necessary arrangements for vaccination and mapping work are to be completed.
On average, 60 thousand tests are being done daily in the state, this system should be maintained.
If there is a health problem, citizens should go to the nearest health centre and get advice and get the test done.
