Bhopal 29 December 2021: The image of freedom fighter martyr Bhima Nayak is in our hearts and not in papers. He and other freedom fighters have a great contribution in the freedom struggle of the country. Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated on the completion of 75 years of independence to remember the martyrdom of freedom fighters. We should take inspiration from the valour of freedom fighters by remembering them every day.
Governor Mangubhai Patel addressed the programme on Balidan Diwas of martyr Bhima Nayak at Barwani on Wednesday. Appreciating the ongoing Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign in the country, Governor Patel said that he feels very happy when he goes to the convocation ceremony of a university and finds more number of girls among those who take ‘Deeksha’. It is known from this that the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign is proving its significance in the country. Expressing concern about Sickle Cell disease in tribal areas, he said that it is necessary for us to be aware of this disease and take the right treatment. Only then can you come out of the vicious cycle of sickle cell disease.
Paying tributes to martyr Bhima Nayak, Animal Husbandry, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Minister, Prem Singh Patel said that the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated in the country to honor freedom fighters. Freedom fighters of the country who are lost in the pages of history are being remembered and the the coming generation is being made aware of their heroic acts.
Lok Sabha MP Gajendra Singh Patel, while narrating the story of martyrdom of Bhima Nayak, said that by celebrating the Azadi ke Amrit Mahotsav, we are paying homage to the freedom fighters. We should take inspiration from his life and have the passion to do something for the motherland. He also apprised the attendees of the stories of freedom fighters. Minister Patel presented a tribal jacket and a safa to Governor Patel.
Governor Patel was welcomed with folk dance
Governor Patel was welcomed by youth and girls by presenting a beautiful tribal dance on the beats of Dhol-Thapli.
Governor Patel honor descendants of Bhima Nayak
Governor Patel honored Chunilal Nayak and Shravan Kumar Nayak, the descendants of martyr Bhima Nayak, with shawl and shriphal.
Animal Husbandry Minister Patel and Lok Sabha MP Gajendra Singh Patel presented Governor Patel with bow-arrow, portrait of martyr Bhima Nayak and literature written on his life.
Bhima Nayak’s statue unveiled
Governor Patel also unveiled the statue of Bhima Nayak in the college premises. He raised his hands with the public representatives and also chanted Bhima Nayak Amar Rahe.
Innovations like Shivkunj can happen in every district
We have always heard that flowers can bloom even among stones. Giving an embodiment to this, the Barwani collector has gifted the district a tourist spot by covering the greenery in Shiv Kunj built with public cooperation. Governor Patel said this during his visit to Shiv Kunj Asha village.
On reaching Ashagram hills, Governor Patel appreciated the greenery of Shiv Kunj while admiring the picturesque Satpura range of Barwani city from Panchmukhi Hanuman complex. After darshan of Lord Adi Yogi, he also planted a Peepal sapling in the campus, which connects spirituality with neem and banyan plants, the identity of Barwani and Nimar. Head of the Sanstha and Collector Shivraj Singh Verma presented the photographs of the different activities undertaken at Ashagram hill, to the Governor Patel.
