Bhopal 03 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is necessary to increase the revenue collection for the purpose of mobilizing more resources for government projects. For this innovation should be stepped up in all directions. A task force should be constituted under the chairmanship of Professor Sachin Chaturvedi, Vice-Chairman NITI Aayog, to identify the necessary measures to be taken to increase the GDP of the state. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the departmental review meeting of the Finance Department in Mantralaya. Finance Minister Jagdish Deora, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Manoj Govil and other officers were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan also inaugurated a consolidated portal for bank funded schemes of the state government. The portal will have the facility of e-KYC, beneficiary profile, tracking of application status, informing the applicant through mobile and e-mail. This will avoid the need to upload documents and duplication of plans.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that suggestions should also be invited from the people of the state for the coming year's budget. For this, meetings can also be organised with subject-experts, industrial, business, agricultural organisations. The contribution of the state in making the country a five trillion dollar economy was also discussed in the meeting. Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is necessary to encourage industrial and manufacturing sector including service sector to increase employment opportunities in the state. The meeting was also informed about the efforts being made in the direction of updating to take the digitization of treasuries to the next level.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that all possible activities should be carried out to increase cashless, contactless, paperless and faceless financial transactions with the use of new technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, block chain for financial management in the state. Also, development of user friendly websites, payment systems, revenue receipts and development of dashboards for monitoring and decision making support across departments should be encouraged. There is a need to set up end-to-end e-payments, e-receipts, e-accounts and e-audit system in the state. Incorporate innovations like digital locker, digital signature and e-wallet in the area of financial management.
In the meeting, presentation was given on the outcome of the Atma-nirbhar Madhya Pradesh Roadmap 2023, capital expenditure in the vision for the year 2022 on the basis of long-term goals, increasing the growth rate and achievements of the economy and the upcoming action plan in the pension scheme – Window to News
