Bhopal 05 January 2021: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the use of drone technology has started in the state, which is useful in many areas. Science and Technology Council should prepare programme for its systematic training. Best practices should be adopted in the field of science and technology. The focus should be on concrete implementation of the IT Investment Policy 2022 for accountability in governance while promoting the use of information technology. The work of integrating the beneficiary oriented schemes of the departments in a single citizen database should be completed, so that more and more people can get the benefit of it. The works for setting up network towers in gram panchayats without network should be completed soon. Cent percent achievement should be made in the works of digital verification of essential documents of public services in self-reliant Madhya Pradesh, development of decision making system for service delivery through intelligent chat bots and development of use cases of new technologies like Drone/Machine Learning, Blockchain/Cloud Chain.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the works of Science and Technology Department in Mantralaya today. Science and Technology Minister Om Prakash Saklecha, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and officials were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the implementation of the proposed IT Investment Policy 2022 has to move forward rapidly. There is a provision of drone policy in this. It also includes promotion of single window system and start ups. Chief Minister Chouhan said that recently in the Varanasi Conclave, there has been a discussion on maximum use of drone technology. Along with agriculture, drone technology is proving to be very useful in internal security, revenue works etc. It is also an important source of employment. Efforts should be made to develop MAPCAST as a drone training centre in Madhya Pradesh.

It was informed in the meeting thatalong with the establishment of Science Centre, Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MAPCAST) has conducted scientific programmes through, Science City, Planetarium, Science Museum, Science Innovation Centre, Space Science Research Centre and University Cell in the state. Science Park has also been established. During the Corona period, a fever clinic was built based on the technology makeshift building developed by CSIR-Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, a research institute of the Government of India. This fever clinic is functioning in Tulsi Nagar premises of Jai Prakash Hospital, Bhopal. Similarly, Indian Institute of Aeronautical Limited Bangalore has supplied seven clean air ventilators of new technology to the district hospitals of Vidisha, Sehore and Neemuch including Bhopal. A webinar series was organised to give information about advanced technology to the entrepreneurs and innovators under self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. Vigyan Manthan Yatra was taken out to encourage scientific attitude, innovation, research and enterprise among the students. A sub-regional science centre is being set up in Ujjain.
