Bhopal 05 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the schemes of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department in Mantralaya today. Chief Minister Chouhan said that industrial development works should be given impetus. Air cargo between Indore-Bhopal between Sonkachh-Ashta is an important project. Try to complete it on mission mode. Chief Minister Chouhan directed that such efforts should be made that the works of this project start getting shape this year.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that due to new investment efforts in the state this year more than 50 thousand jobs are expected to be generated from seven industrial parks. Besides, more than 20 thousand people are expected to get employment as a result of implementation of Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor along with new investment areas of Ratlam, Dewas, Pithampur. The proposed investment in seven industrial parks will be Rs 32 thousand 900 crore. The combined cost of Ratlam, Dewas, Pithampur will be about Rs. three thousand seven hundred and fifty crores. Chief Minister Chouhan directed various infrastructure departments to play an active role in implementing model programmes like PM Gati-Shakti. Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and officials were present in the meeting.
Chief Minister Chouhan directed to increase the participation of private sector in health and education sectors after approval for Medical Equipment Park received from Government of India in Atma-nirbhar Madhya Pradesh. He said that this park would be developed at Vikram Udyogpuri Ujjain after getting approval from the Department of Pharma, Government of India. Similarly, efforts are being made to establish a Bulk Drug Park in Mohasa Babai Industrial Area in Hoshangabad district. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to exploit the possibilities of developing hub and spoke airport as a model for future traffic needs. To meet the increasing demand for flights, a greenfield airport is proposed in about 10 thousand hectares. Under the "One District One Product" scheme, the products of 6 districts are being sold on the e-commerce platform. Efforts should also be made to sell these products at international and national level and also to export other main products of the state. The state's single window system has been included in the best practices by the Government of India. In this 45 services of 12 departments have been integrated.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the proposed projects for the year 2022 include Industrial Park and IT Park of Berasia in Bhopal, Industrial Park of Ashta (Jhilela) in Sehore district and Industrial (Tilgara) Park at Dhar near Indore, Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam, Narsinghpur Industrial Park, Indore IT Park-3. Their combined project cost is 1414 crores. About 52 thousand 450 people are also likely to get employment.
New policies have been approved
Chief Minister Chouhan said that pharmaceuticals, logistics, textile, garment and food processing policies have been approved in the state in the past. Policies for oxygen production and ethanol production have been approved this year. The five policies that are ready include Industry Promotion Policy 2022, Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Policy, Logistics and Warehousing Policy, Rice Milling Policy, Pharmaceuticals Policy. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the draft policy for the units of the defence sector should also be finalised soon. Efforts should be made to bring new investment in this area keeping Jabalpur at the centre.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state would also get the benefit of the proposed Medical Devices Park. The Government of India has given in-principle approval for this. In the first phase of Bharat Mala project, multi-modal logistic parks will be set up at Indore and Bhopal. In this connection, land has been marked in Indore. In the second phase, preparations should be made to set up this park in Jabalpur and Gwalior also. Chief Minister Chouhan said that opportunities in the petroleum and natural gas sector in Madhya Pradesh should be explored with the help of the Government of India. Principal Secretary Sanjay Shukla gave a presentation in the meeting.
Important instructions of Chief Minister Chouhan
- The goal of building world class infrastructure should be achieved.
- Finalize the draft of Industry Promotion Policy 2022 and implement it at the earliest.
- Atal Pragati Path distance of 404 kms and Narmada Expressway will give impetus to the efforts of economic prosperity. These will provide employment to more than 50 thousand people. Help complete the processes related to these two schemes.
- To enhance the works of One District One Product Scheme, the Industries Department should coordinate continuously.
- Five new policies are ready in the state. Focus on their implementation.
- State officials should participate in the proposed programme of Vibrant Gujarat.
- Cooperation in investment promotion should also be obtained from Ambassadors of various countries based in Delhi and Indian Ambassadors posted in other countries.
- Madhya Pradesh has extensive production of soybean. Efforts should be made for the export and international trade of soya oil.
- Industries should be linked with Industrial Training Institutes. Unemployed youth will get its benefit.
- Publicize the achievement of higher investment average in Madhya Pradesh than other states.
- Processing industries should be encouraged.
