Bhopal 08 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that better utilization should be ensured by managing the assets in the state. The assets should also be entered on the portal and the department should fix its priorities, plan it and do result-oriented works. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the Public Asset Management Department in Mantralaya today. Departmental officers including Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains were present.

Congratulations on good management

Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the department for better management of unutilized assets. He said that the department should illuminate the name of the state by setting such records.

Achievements of the Department

In the financial years 2020-21 and 2021-22 by the Public Asset Management Department, a total reserve price amount of Rs 83 crore 8 lakh was awarded by 14 liquidators and monetization of government assets worth Rs 150 crore. A total of 377 assets were entered on the portal by the department and district collectors. Sidhi Bus Depot of Transport Corporation, Damoh Bus Depot, Malharganj Bus Depot, Indore assets were handed over to the municipality. Action was taken regarding the management of 10 such assets. In order to get the highest revenue from disposal of assets, development has been done by constructing approach roads on the assets, which include Vinod Mill asset District Ujjain, Alirajpur Bus Depot etc. After the second wave of Corona, 19 assets were entered on the portal by the Department of Transport and Cooperatives – Window to News
