Bhopal 08 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that work should be ensured in time-limit for setting up of Multi-Modal Logistics Park. Efforts should also be made to set up warehouses in mandis expeditiously. Private individuals and firms should also be brought forward for this. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection at Mantralaya on Saturday. Departmental officers including Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Bisahulal Singh, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the storage capacity of food grains should be increased in the state. Also, the off-loading from the godowns should be ensured in time-limit. Work out a policy for filling and emptying the warehouse. Godowns should be maintained and protected through PPP mode. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to install solar panels on the roof-tops of godowns. He said that renewable energy production should be promoted.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the caps of Markfed should be maintained responsibly. He instructed to procure paddy, moong and other crops in a good way. Chief Minister Chouhan said that every grain of the farmers of the state should be purchased. Those who engage in irregularities should not be spared. Substandard paddy production should be discouraged. Produce good quality crops. The procurement of Kranti paddy of Datia district was also reviewed.
Make a model of procurement of crops
Chief Minister Chouhan said that a model should be prepared for the purchase of crops in the state. Every effort should be made to purchase honestly. Transparent system should be promoted. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to write a letter to the Center for the stock of surplus wheat in the state. He directed to speed up the work of milling of paddy and to prepare an action plan to increase the paddy milling capacity.
Fortified salt, flour
Chief Minister Chouhan issued instructions for distribution of double fortified salt in tribal development blocks and to increase the distribution in other development blocks. He directed to distribute fortified flour in PDS as a pilot project. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the ranking should be increased in One Nation-One Ration Card. There should be no problem in distribution of ration. Work should be accelerated in Ration Aapke Gram scheme. Fair price shops should be strengthened.
