Bhopal 10 January 2022:  NewsChief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the grading of the work of the Panchayats of the state will be done and the Panchayats which are doing good work will be rewarded. A development plan has been prepared for every Panchayat, 'Smart Villages' will be made after implementing it.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the works of Panchayat and Rural Development Department in Mantralaya today. He also inaugurated a 'Mobile App' prepared by the department for garbage collection and transportation from village to village.
Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Ramkhelawan Patel, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, CEO Madhya Pradesh Day State Livelihood Mission LM. Belwal and concerned officers were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that 127 "Didi Cafes" are being run by self-help groups in the state. These are functioning successfully as refreshment centres. In the coming time, "Didi Cafes" will be opened at places like Vallabh Bhawan, Vindhyachal, Satpura etc.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that excellent work is being done in the field of plastic waste disposal in the state. Arrangements have been made to collect plastic waste from village to village, from where the plastic will reach the waste collection centers and from there it will be sold. 28 plastic collection centers are being opened in the state, which will be operated by women of self-help groups. Waste plastic is being used in the construction of about 9 thousand kilometers of roads in the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the work of rejuvenation of more than 42 thousand old water structures has been started in the state. This work is being done under MGNREGA and other schemes. This will encourage activities like irrigation, fish farming, water chestnut production etc. in a large area.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that "Home-Stay" scheme is being successfully implemented in the community based rural tourism in the state. There is good enthusiasm among tourists towards the scheme. A large number of tourists are staying in 'home-stays' at Ladpura village in Niwari district and Madla village in Panna district. Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated all the concerned for the success of the scheme.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in order to restore the history, pride, identity, culture, etc. of every village, it has been decided by the government that "Gram Foundation Day" will be celebrated every year in every village. He directed to take action in this regard from the month of April next.

Sell​​our products on "Jam" and "Amazon"

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that intensive efforts should be made to sell the products prepared by women self-help groups and others in the state on marketing platforms like JAM portal and Amazon.

State first in the country in sanctioning loans to S.H.G.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh has been first in the country in submitting loan cases to self-help groups through online medium and in sanctioning loans. One lakh 40 thousand 576 loan cases were sanctioned in the year 2021-22. Instructions were given by the Chief Minister for speedy action for disbursement of loans in approved cases.

Village organization in every village

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that village organizations should be formed in every village under the State Rural Livelihood Mission. At present there are 32 thousand 874 village organizations in the state. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to form village organizations in all 45 thousand villages.

74 percent Pradhan Mantri Awas completed

Chief Minister Chouhan said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana the target of providing houses to all by the year 2024 is fixed. Under the scheme, the state has got a target of 30 lakh 39 thousand houses, against which 29 lakh 78 thousand (97.3%) houses have been sanctioned and 22 lakh 65 thousand (74 percent) houses have been completed. Principal Secretary Umakant Umrao informed that the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas are being given benefits of 36 types of government schemes. These include schemes like ration supply, tap-electricity connection, gas connection, education, health etc.

Make all villages 'ODF-plus'

Chief Minister Chouhan said that under the Swachh Bharat Mission, all villages of the state have to be made 'ODF-plus' by the year 2024-25. In this, the work of toilets in all households, compost pits in 80 percent of the houses, liquid waste management in 80 percent of the households and plastic waste collection and segregation work in all the villages is to be performed. So far 1154 villages of the state have been made 'ODF-plus'. Chief Minister Chouhan has directed that full care should be taken that the newly constructed houses should not be built without toilets.

State first in the country in village road construction

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is on top in the country in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and construction of quality roads. 17 thousand 541 habitations of the state were to be connected with the scheme, against which 17 thousand 506 (99.80 percent) habitations have been connected by road. Tribal villages of 250 and above population and all other villages of 500 and above population have been connected by Pradhan Mantri Sadak.

There should be no delay in payment of MNREGA

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that there should be no delay in payment of works done under MNREGA. In this regard, he talked to the Union Minister Giriraj Singh, and demanded a budget for the pending payment. The Union Minister assured that the budget will be given soon.
Chief Minister Chouhan also gave instructions to the officers regarding Mukhyamantri Bhu-Adhikar Yojana, implementation of PESA Act, Solid Liquid Waste Management, operation of Devanya Yojana, transfer of nutrition-food plants etc – Window to News
