Airstrips should be made suitable for jet plane landing - Chief Minister Chouhan

Bhopal 11 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Aviation Department should leave no stone unturned for the expansion and development of airstrips. There should be such airstrips so that jet planes can land. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the works of Aviation Department at Mantralaya today.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that preparations should be made to make plans for expansion of airstrips in the state. Airstrips should also be developed. There are 08 airstrips in the state where jet planes can land. There should be no lack in their arrangements. He said that the airstrips whose length is to be increased, their work should be done expeditiously.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that 17 airstrips are to be developed in the state. Necessary amount should be arranged for this. He said that Ujjain, Umaria, Pachmarhi and other airstrips should be made good. Departmental officers including Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains were present in the meeting – Window to News
