Bhopal 12 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that youth will play an important role in building Atmanirbhar Bharat and Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. Employment is a major necessity today. In the last two months, five and a half lakh youths have been given an opportunity to become self-reliant through employment and financial assistance in various schemes. Against the target of connecting one lakh people with employment and giving benefit of economic upgradation has resulted in double achievement. Benefits have been successfully given to 2.5 lakh people every month. Now Employment Day will be celebrated every month. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure that our youth get employment as per their qualifications.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the state level programme of Employment Day at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium today. Chief Minister Chouhan inaugurated the the programme organized on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, National Youth Day, by lighting a lamp in front of the picture of Swami Vivekananda. Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises Minister Om Prakash Sakhlecha, MLA Smt. Krishna Gaur and M.P. Chairman of Skill Development and Employment Generation Board Shailendra Sharma was also present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that today on Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, inspiration should be taken from Swamiji’s statement that – ‘No task is impossible if a man is determined and makes a path.’ Swami’s real name was Narendra, predicting for India, he had said that the coming century would belong to India. Today, under the leadership of another Narendra (Prime Minister Narendra Modi), India is becoming a glorious and proud nation and is becoming recognized as a world guru. Giving the example of the success of Jamshedji Tata, Chief Minister Chouhan said that he became such a big industrialist by starting a small business. With strong determination, youth will definitely be successful in their field of work.
In two months, five and a half lakh people got benefits in the schemes
Chief Minister Chouhan said that efforts have been made to make Madhya Pradesh self-reliant. Concrete work has been done to benefit 5 lakh 26 thousand 510 youths in the state during the period from November 15, 2021 to January 12, 2022. Our endeavor is to provide such education, which will also provide employment. The new education policy also envisages building a prosperous India. This is evident from the provision of vocational education from Class VI. Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is must to ensure that the youth have skills and get livelihood. The youth of Madhya Pradesh are now becoming job givers, not job seekers. In fact the youth can create new history.
Investment in the state in Corona period also
Chief Minister Chouhan said that investment has come in the state even during the Corona period. Separate clusters are being formed for different industries including textile industry. Benefit of cheap land and other facilities is being given for setting up of new units. Wooden artistic toys of Sehore Budhni, wallets of Bhopal, Kodo-Kutki from tribal dominated districts and other products are becoming popular. Empowerment and economic upliftment of women
Chief Minister Chouhan said that 12 lakh women of self-help groups were given the benefit of credit linkage of Rs two thousand crore for various economic activities in the Rural Livelihood Mission. This achievement is historic.
Filling of Backlog Posts and Selection Process for Posts in Other Departments
Chief Minister Chouhan informed that the selection process is going on in the state for filling backlog posts and for appointments to new posts. Action is being taken for selection on the posts of AYUSH doctors, nursing staff, assistant, skill training officer, jail guard, deputy engineer as well as in cooperative and other departments.
Efforts for employment generation and economic upliftment from various sectors
Chief Minister Chouhan said that economic activities in cooperative, agriculture, mineral and tourism sectors have been promoted in Madhya Pradesh. The famous Sharbati wheat of Madhya Pradesh is popular in the world by the name of MP Wheat. Efforts are being made to select the products of all the districts and sell them as much as possible in ‘Ek Zila Ek Utpad’. “Efforts are being made to utilize forests.
Devaranya Yojana is being implemented. After processing of forest produce, the work of making medicine is being increased. Under the Mukhya Mantri Ration Aapke Dwar Yojana, the responsibility of distribution of food grains has been given to the local youth in 89 tribal development blocks. The path of economic upgradation has become easier with the installation of solar panels under Kusum Yojana. Youth are also getting benefited from rural and urban livelihood schemes. Focus is on the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme. Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the young beneficiaries and also thanked the banks for sanctioning loans under various schemes.
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha said that to make Madhya Pradesh self-reliant, the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will create 30 lakh jobs in the next two years. Well planned development of cluster based industries is being done in Madhya Pradesh and in this direction furniture cluster has been started in Indore on 500 acres of land. This cluster will provide employment to 20 thousand youth directly and 30 thousand indirectly. Four furniture clusters are being developed at Gwalior, Neemuch and Betul including Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh will be the only state where 5 lakh 26 thousand youth have been given employment in a very short span of time despite the adverse conditions due to Corona. Work is going on speedily in the development of toy clusters in the state. International companies have also shown interest in this cluster. For this, an agreement has been signed with 30 technical labs, so that technical skills can be made available to the new entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs will be supported by organizing seminars in different districts soon. Start up policy will also be given final shape soon.
Distribution of benefits to beneficiaries
Chief Minister Chouhan also interacted with beneficiaries of various schemes by providing them benefits. These include Smt. Kausar Jahan from Bhopal, Anand Kumar Jain, Ashok Thapa, Anil Bhasme, Pushpa Bai, Rashmita Garai, Shanu Choubey of Vidisha and Shailesh Barkur of Hoshangabad Kausar Jahan has received an amount of Rs two lakhs for readymade garment business under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme. Shanu Choubey of Vidisha was awarded for welding work in the same programme. He has also given employment to eight others. Shailesh Barkur of Hoshangabad has started the business of electrical goods with the help of Rs. 9.5 lakh. Ashok Thapa has started a fast food center with the Prime Minister’'s employment generation programme. Anil Bhasme has been given loan in National Urban Livelihood Mission for stationery shop. Pushpa Bai has received an amount of Rs ten thousand under Mukhyamantri Grameen Path Vendor Yojna. Chief Minister Chouhan also congratulated all the beneficiaries who are becoming self-employed.
CM interacts with beneficiaries
Chief Minister Chouhan also interacted virtually with the beneficiaries in the employment fairs in the districts. He sought information from Balaghat beneficiary Vinod Barve about tent decoration, Neemuch’s Nilesh Patidar for cement and paver block, Rewa’s Parth Pandey for Bakery Products, Gwalior’s Ali Ahmed for jaggery and cardamom manufacturing and Tikamgarh’s Anita Soni for starting toy shop. During the interaction with the beneficiaries, the Chief Minister inquired about bank loan and their business. Chief Minister Chouhan wished all these youths for their success in business.
In his welcome address, Secretary and Industries Commissioner P. Narhari informed about departmental achievements in employment day and job fairs. Employment Day was also organized at all the district headquarters of the state.

1. Rs. 2,97 crore to 3 lakh 87 thousand 55 beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.
2. Rs 71 crore to 57 thousand 125 beneficiaries under PM Svanidhi Yojana.
3. Rs.192 crore to 691 groups and 12 thousand 156 women in National Rural Livelihood Mission.
4. Rs 20 crores to 1602 beneficiaries in the National Urban Livelihoods Mission.
5. Rs 63 crore to 63 thousand 764 beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Gramin Path Vendor Scheme.
