Excellent arrangements for care and treatment in home isolation must

Bhopal 12 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that in the third wave, out of 14 thousand 413 Corona patients in the state, 13 thousand 862 patients are in home isolation. They have been provided with medical kit and tele-consultation facility. Along with this, daily calls are made about the precautions to be taken in home isolation through the Command and Control Center set up in every district.

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that excellent arrangements for care and treatment of patients living in home isolation should be ensured. If necessary, they should be immediately admitted to the hospital through an ambulance.
Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the arrangements for Corona control and treatment in Mantralaya today. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary virtually attended the meeting. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman, Commissioner Health Dr. Sudam Khade and officers were present.

Complete arrangements for treatment in hospitals must

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that all arrangements should be made in the hospitals for the treatment of Corona. At present, a total of 50 thousand 873 beds are available for the treatment of Covid in the state. These include 10 thousand 55 normal beds, 27 thousand 901 oxygenated normal beds and 12 thousand 917 HDU / ICU beds. Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary informed that apart from this 13 thousand 965 beds are available in Covid Care Centers in the state. For the treatment of Covid, 9 temporary hospitals with 740 beds have been set up in the state of which, 437 are oxygenated.

Ensure total compliance with Corona protocol

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that total compliance of Corona protocol should be ensured in all the districts. All persons compulsorily put on masks, keep safe distance from each other, keep hands clean, sanitize and follow all other precautions.

Adequate availability of oxygen

Chief Minister Chouhan said that there is sufficient availability of oxygen in hospitals and Covid Care Centers for the treatment of Corona patients. In hospitals and Covid Care Centers, there are 17 thousand oxygen concentrators 36 thousand 393 oxygen cylinders, 190 (206 MT) PSA plants and 60 PSA plants in the private sector. 1847 ventilators are available for the treatment of Covid patients in all medical colleges and government hospitals of the state.

572 new cases of Corona in Bhopal

Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Suleman informed that today 1169 cases of Corona have been reported in Indore, 572 in Bhopal, 280 in Jabalpur and 170 in Ujjain. Along with the arrangements for treatment, he also gave a presentation of information about other arrangements.

Medicines provided in home isolation kit

The medical kit being given to the patients in home isolation includes tablet Azithromycin 500 mg, tablet Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin-C), tablet Cetrizine 10 mg, tablet Multivitamin, tablet Paracetamol 500 mg/650 mg. tablet Ranitidine 150 mg. and tablet Zinc 20 mg.

Corona control restrictions in the state
  • Night curfew was implemented from 11 pm to 5 am to prevent Corona infection in the state.
  • All types of fairs that involves mass gathering are prohibited.
  • Entry is being given into cinema halls, multiplex theatres, coaching classes, swimming pools, clubs, stadiums only to persons who have been vaccinated against both Covid-19.
  • Children from Class I to VIII will be present with 50 percent attendance in all schools.
  • A maximum of 250 people will be able to participate in wedding celebrations.
  • A maximum of 50 people can attend funerals and Uthavnas.
