Chief Minister Had a Look at the Crops Damaged by Hailstorm in Chhayan Village of Rajgarh
Bhopal 15 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the insurance company will pay 25 percent of the insurance amount of the insured crop affected by hailstorm in advance. The remaining 75 percent amount will be paid by the insurance company to the farmers concerned after settlement. The relief amount will be given by the state government. Farmers will be compensated for their crop loss by combining Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and the relief amount. No poor farmer will be deprived of the relief amount. Chief Minister Chouhan had reached Chhayan village of Rajgarh district today to take stock of the mustard, wheat, gram and masoor crops damaged by hailstorm.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the farmer brothers should not be anxious, the government is with them in the time of crisis and will also bring them out of this crisis. If the daughters of the affected farmers are to be married, then the state government will also get that done. It is their religion, responsibility and also their duty to get the farmers out of trouble.
Chief Minister Chouhan instructed the district administration that each and every village should be surveyed. The survey list should be pasted in the village, so that the missing farmers can register an objection and get their names added to the survey list. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the survey work should not be done secretly, no affected farmer should be left out. All concerned officers should ensure that the survey work is done with transparency and sensitivity.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that where wheat, mustard, gram, lentil crops have suffered more than 50 percent loss due to hailstorm, relief amount of Rs.30 thousand per hectare will be provided. In case of death of animals, 30 thousand rupees per animal in case of cow-buffalo, 25 thousand rupees in case of death of bull-male buffalo, 16 thousand rupees in case of death of male or female calf, 3 thousand rupees in case of male or female goat and Rs. 60 relief amount per rooster-hen will be provided.
Two officers suspended on receiving complaint
Chief Minister Chouhan has suspended in-charge District Supply Officer Suresh Verma and Food Inspector Jasram Jatav after receiving complaints of irregularities in the Public Distribution System in Kalipeeth area. Chief Minister Chouhan said that those who snatch the rights of the poor will not be spared. They will be sent to jail.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that those who bungle ration of the poor should be arrested along with FIR. The District Collector should get all the ration shops in the district checked. Those who are dishonest should not be spared. Public distribution system should be transparent. The ration distribution of the poor should be done by the Antyodaya Samiti members under their direction and supervision, so that no beneficiary faces problems.

Chief Minister Chouhan took stock of wheat and mustard crops in the field of farmer Hemraj Goad in Chhayan village of Rajgarh tehsil. Farmer Hemraj told Chief Minister Chouhan that wheat and mustard crops were sown in about 18 bighas of agricultural land. The entire crop has been destroyed due to the hailstorm, causing substantial financial loss to him. Chief Minister Chouhan assured him that after assessing the loss, relief amount would be given.
