More Than Two-third of Target Achieved
Chief Minister Chouhan Congratulated
Bhopal 19 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated while expressing happiness for completing more than 33 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccination in Madhya Pradesh for the age group of 15-18 years today. Madhya Pradesh has achieved more than two-third of the total target in this category.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that while Madhya Pradesh has been a leader in the vaccination of persons above 18 years of age, in the same way, now the work of protecting adolescents from corona is going well. The Chief Minister said that we have completed an important step in protecting the entire people of Madhya Pradesh from corona. Due to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, free vaccine has been made available to the countrymen today.
Mega campaign and public participation important
Mega campaigns have also been conducted from time to time for vaccination in Madhya Pradesh. Wide public participation has been seen in these mega campaigns. This is the reason that till the evening of January 19, 33 lakh 60 thousand vaccine doses have been completed in the state in the age group of 15 to 18 years. Chief Minister Chouhan said that administrative officers and staff members of all the districts including public representatives, religious leaders, all frontline workers, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and officers and employees of health department deserve congratulations for this success.
Madhya Pradesh ahead of national average
The vaccination work in the country has completed one year. An encouraging environment was created in Madhya Pradesh from 16 January 2020 on the first day of vaccination. Health workers went to the fields and barns and did the vaccination. Adolescents are also benefitting from the vaccination. Madhya Pradesh has made 20 percent more achievement than the national average of 50 percent in the work of vaccination of adolescents started from January 3rd. Madhya Pradesh has achieved the target of 70 percent vaccination of eligible teenagers of this category.
