Bhopal 21 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the members of women self-help groups of Dewas district have taken the initiative to produce bamboo. This is an important step towards women empowerment. The women of the group have taken up the task of bamboo production in one thousand acres of land. The women self-help groups of the state were given the task of stitching uniforms. They performed this task very well. The members of women’s self-help group of Dewas district have received a dividend of Rs one crore from this work.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that I have had a special place for daughters since the very beginning. For their bright future, we started Ladli Laxmi Yojana. The scheme has also increased the sex ratio in the state. In the year 2012-13, there were 912 daughters per 1000, now the ratio has increased to 956 girls per 1000. Attitude towards girls in the society has changed. When sons and daughters move forward together, only then will the cycle of creation continue.

Agreement between women self-help group and Artisan company

In the presence of Chief Minister Chouhan a contract was signed between Women Self-Help Group and Artisan Company with the help of Forest Department. Chief Minister Chouhan said that women of self-help groups would grow bamboo plants on one thousand acres of land. Artisan Company will buy bamboo from the group for 20 years. The company will pay Rs 60 for one bamboo in the first year, Rs 36 in the second year and Rs 16 for the third year. The women of the group will get an income of Rs 1 to 1.5 lakh per acre. A nutritional food factory is also being run by the women’s group in Khatamba village of Dewas district. He said that now the money does not go into the accounts of big contractors, but the money goes to the groups 'accounts'.

More women self-help groups should be formed

Chief Minister Chouhan said that more and more women self-help groups should be formed in the state. Due to this, lower-middle class women get a fixed income every month. In Dewas district, the women of SHG did the work of stitching uniforms, which was worth Rs 5 crore 40 lakhs, in which they got a profit of Rs. one crore. The intention of the government is that every woman should have an income of at least Rs. 10 thousand in a month. Women self-help groups were also given the task of making pickles, papads, badi, masks and sanitizers, which they are doing successfully.

Bhoomi-pujan of CM Rise School

Chief Minister Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan of CM Rise School to be built at Chiravad at a cost of Rs 16 crores. The Chief Minister said that CM Rise Schools are being opened in the state this year. There will be a CM Rise School for about 25 villages. Quality improvement will be done in these schools by giving modern education. The school will have library, laboratory, arrangement of education through English and Hindi medium, adequate staff and bus facility for children. The schools will be run from nursery to Class XII.

Chief Minister announces building of sports ground

Chief Minister Chouhan announced to build a playground on the demand of children of Chiravad village. He instructed Collector Chandramouli Shukla to see the land for the sports ground at the earliest and get the work started. Chouhan said that he wants that children should play and acquire education. It is very important for their physical and mental development.
Farmers should return to natural farming
Chief Minister Chouhan asked the farmers to return to natural farming. He said that he himself will now do natural farming in his field. Farmers should sow different types of crops.

Feeling of satisfaction on seeing Ladli Laxmis

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in 2006 he had started Ladli Laxmi Yojna after kanya pujan in Chirawad. The babies whom I had held in my arms and given certificates, have grown and are studying in Class XI and XII today. Seeing them gives me a feeling of satisfaction. The Chief Minister said that I always used to wonder why should there be discrimination with daughters. This thought came in my mind that when a daughter is born, she should be a millionaire. With this thought in mind, Ladli Laxmi scheme was initiated. At present, about 40 lakh girls are getting the benefit of Ladli Laxmi Yojana in the state. When a girl becomes 21 years old, then she will get an amount of Rs one lakh. Chief Minister Chouhan said that now we have decided that when our Ladlis go to college, they will be given Rs 25 thousand separately.

Formation of Seva Sahkari Samiti announced

Chief Minister Chouhan announced the formation of a large Seva Sahakari Samiti in Chirawad village. He said that a Seva Sahakari Samiti would be formed in four surrounding villages, but the government fair price shops already existing in these villages would not be closed.

Dividend distribution to Aajeevika Mission beneficiaries

Chief Minister Chouhan distributed dividend to the beneficiaries of Rural Livelihood Mission. Dividend was also given to the group making the uniform. Street vendors were given a certificate of loan amount of Rs.10,000. Chief Minister Chouhan visited the exhibition put up by the Self-Help Groups. He saw the furniture made from bamboo and appreciated them. MP Mahendra Singh Solanki and former MLA Rajendra Verma also addressed the public.

CM has meals at labourer Kanwarlal’s house
Chief Minister Chouhan had food at the house of Kanwarlal Khicchi, a labourer of village Chirawad. Chief Minister Chouhan ate masoor ki dal, gobhi ki sabzi and bajre ki roti in the meal. He praised the food. The Chief Minister also met Kanwarlal’s family. Kanwarlal said that he is very happy with the arrival of Chief Minister Chouhan.

Government fair price shop inspected

Chief Minister Chouhan inspected the government fair price shop during his visit to village Chiravad. He saw the ration distribution work at the fair price shop and distributed ration to the beneficiary. The Chief Minister inquired from the beneficiaries about whether the ration shop opens on time, whether the ration is available on time or not. The beneficiaries talked about getting ration on time. The Food Officer said that under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana, ration for two months of January and February is being given to the beneficiaries at a time.

Chief Minister Chouhan also visited the house of a beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Suresh son of Siddhanath. He spoke to the beneficiary and sought information. Suresh told that he got the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana easily and thanked Chief Minister Chouhan.
