73rd Republic Day Celebrated In an Atmosphere of Gaiety at Lal Parade Ground of Bhopal
 
Bhopal 26 January 2022: Governor Mangubhai Patel unfurled the National Flag at a state-level programme at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day. After this the Governor took the salute of the captivating parade. There were 14 contingents in the parade at the Lal Parade Ground.

Governor Patel inspected the parade. This was followed by a march-past under the leadership of Parade Commander Sushri Priyanka Shukla. The T IC of the parade was Pankaj Mishra. Hawk Force, STF, Madhya Pradesh Special Armed Forces-1 and 2, Madhya Pradesh Mahila Police, District Police Force, Jail Department, Chhattisgarh Platoon, Madhya Pradesh Home Guard, Mixed Platoon, Senior Division NCC, Army Wing Girls, NCC Army Wing Boys, Police Bands and squads of dog squads participated in the parade. Governor Patel released colourful balloons in the open sky.

Tribal Dance Performance

In the state-level Republic Day celebrations, a presentation of Bhil-Bhagoria dance centered on the tribal culture of the state was given. Among the 7 major tribes living in Madhya Pradesh, Bhil is the main tribe. The dancers presented various footsteps, Samuhan Paliya, Chakripali and Pramit dance postures in an attractive manner. Young men and women dressed in colourful costumes participated in the dance party. In the tribal areas of the state, Bhagoria Haats are organised before Holi in the season of Phagun. Tribal artists mesmerized the people present in the parade ground through Bhagoria dance.

Development presented through tableaux

In the state-level Republic Day celebrations, the progress of the state and the dimension of development through public participation were displayed through attractive tableaux. In the first part of the tableau, various products produced in the state were displayed. It was told in the tableau that food processing units have been set up for coriander, mango, orange, mosambi etc. with public participation across the state. This has increased the income of the farmers and the GDP of the state. In the second part of the tableau, the tomato and orange processing unit established at Agar-Malwa was displayed. It was told in the tableau that farmers of the state are using modern methods of horticulture, poly-house, drip irrigation, plastic sheets in agriculture.

The prestigious Krishi Karman Award of the Government of India was displayed for the last 7 years in the tableau of the Department of Farmers Welfare and Agriculture. Due to improved farming in the state, it has got first place in oilseeds and second place in pulses in the country. The tableau showcased the grant of GI tag to Chinnaur rice of Balaghat district. In the tableau of the Home Department, the establishment of Urja Mahila Help-desk was displayed in 700 police stations of all the districts of the state. Through Urja Mahila Desk, every kind of help is being given to the suffering women, children and elderly at one place. In the tableau, the alternative facility of e-FIR to common citizens from the comfort of their homes was demonstrated. The tableau of the Department of Tribal Affairs showcased GI tagging along with geographical identification of tribal crafts and products. The operation of Vanya Community Radio was demonstrated in the tableau.

On Republic Day, in the tableau of the Jail Department, the training of sports to prisoners with public participation, cow rearing and performing yoga activities by the prisoners were displayed. The target achieved in the field of cleanliness for Mission-2.0 was displayed in the tableau of the Urban Development and Housing Department. Along with this, the public bike sharing project by Bhopal Smart City Development Company was shown in the tableau. Intercity bus operation of public transport was outlined in the tableau.

In the tableau of the tourism department, various aspects of rural tourism schemes were presented in an attractive manner. 100 villages are being developed as tourism villages in the state. The Responsible Tourism Award 2020-21 presented by World Travel Mart London to Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board was displayed. Along with this, the Kisan Credit Card scheme operated in the department for the purpose of self-reliance of the cattle rearers was shown in the tableau of the Animal Husbandry Department. Various products being manufactured by Madhya Pradesh Dugdh Mahasangh were also displayed in the tableau. Moti Mahal, Ramnagar District Mandla were outlined in the tableau of the Archaeological Department. For the preservation of the priceless heritage of Ramnagar, the capital of the Gond dynasty, the maintenance works done with archaeological techniques were displayed through a tableau.

Progress of villages was presented in the tableau of Panchayat and Rural Development Department. 22 thousand 710 gram panchayats of the state are moving towards self-reliance. Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin was also shown in the tableau. The target is to make all the villages of the state completely clean by the year 2025 and declared as ODF plus. In the tableau of fishermen welfare, development from fish farming with public participation was shown. In the tableau of the Women and Child Development Department, the Aao Ek Anganwadi Goad Le (Come adopt an Anganwadi) programme being run with the help of the community to improve the services of Anganwadis was shown.

The participation of voters of Madhya Pradesh in democracy was displayed in the tableau of the Chief Electoral Officer. In the tableau of the Public Health Engineering Department, the plan of providing tap-water scheme to every household of the village was shown. Along with this, the operation and maintenance of the tap-water scheme through public participation was shown. In the tableau of the Forest Department, the protection of forest areas, the formation of Eco Development Committees, the Bamboo Mission and the journey from the buffer were outlined. The scheme for the promotion of marriage of challenged people was displayed in the tableau of Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department. In the tableau, Divyang Satyendra Singh was shown, who made Madhya Pradesh proud by bagging gold medal in swimming competition. Covid friendly practices were shown in the tableau of the Health Department. The tableau showcased the activism of the Crisis Management Committee and the effective strategy for control of Covid-19 and the work being done on it.

Prizes for tableaux

The tableau of the tourism department got the first place, the tableau of the jail department got the second place and the tableau of the forest department got the third place in the ceremony organised at the Lal Parade Ground – Window to News
