Bhopal 29 January 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the active cases of corona are decreasing continuously for last three days. In the major cities of the state, Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior, the cases of corona have started decreasing. A very small number of corona patients are admitted in hospitals. Consultations will be held with experts regarding the opening of the school.
Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the control and prevention of corona at his residence today. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and other officers were present. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary joined virtually from Raisen.
While discussing the opening of schools, Chief Minister Chouhan said that further decision would be taken in view of the situation of corona in other states. Experts will also be consulted. Schools will be opened only after full deliberations.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that at present there are 67 thousand 945 active cases in the state. Corona cases have started decreasing in the country too. Corona testing is going on well in the state. The number of patients recovering from corona is also increasing. Patients are getting discharged from hospitals continuously.
Chief Minister Chouhan directed the officers that necessary counselling and medicines should be given on time to the patients of home isolation. A very small number of patients have been sent to hospitals from home isolation. He said that the vaccination of 15-17 year old adolescents has been done well. At present, the positivity rate of Bhopal is more than that of Indore. Suddenly the positivity rate has increased in other districts including Sehore. By February 15, there is a possibility of a decrease in the cases of corona. Chief Minister Chouhan said that there is nothing to worry about, exercising caution, vigilance and adopting corona friendly behaviour and the mandatory requirement of masks should be continued.
Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman gave a presentation on the situation and treatment arrangements of corona. He told that at present 72 people are on oxygen bed and 150 are in ICU. The situation is under control – Window to News
