Bhopal 02 February 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Union Budget presented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the budget of Amrit Kaal. It is time to change the scenario and fate of the state. Team Madhya Pradesh should work continuously for the development and progress of the state without wasting a moment. Madhya Pradesh will make its best contribution in building a glorious, magnificent India. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the implementation of the instructions given in the departmental reviews held from January 3 to 11, 2022. In a meeting held in Mantralaya with all the ministers, chief secretaries, all additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and secretaries, the strategy of Madhya Pradesh for taking advantage from the central budget and priorities of various departments in the state budget 2022-23 were also discussed. Chief Minister Chouhan also sought information about the action taken on various points at the Mukhya Mantri Parishad organized in Varanasi. The meeting started with the recitation of Vande Mataram. Chief Minister Chouhan said that all the scheduled activities should be completed within the time line.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that building an Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh is our topmost priority. From the Union Budget presented by the Government of India, each department should prepare a practical action plan for the activities in which the state government can take advantage. By studying the provisions made in the Union Budget for housing, urban infrastructure, cottage, small and medium enterprises, industrial development, construction of roads, Jal Jeevan Mission, maximum support should be obtained for the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan, during the review of Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department, said that diversification of agriculture, promotion of coarse grains and natural and organic farming is the top priority of the state government. Chief Minister Chouhan said that all the members of the Council of Ministers who have agricultural land should develop a model form of natural farming in their fields. This will motivate people for natural farming and will help in improving the wellness of the earth. Chief Minister Chouhan said that a special campaign should be launched to develop natural farming on a five kilometer stretch on both sides of the Narmada river. It was informed in the meeting that the work of changing the crop pattern in the state would be started with Kharif crops. Custom hiring centers will be set up to control the practice of burning Narwai, for this, arrangements are also being made to provide machines on rent to the farmers.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the mechanism of 22 products prescribed in horticulture cultivation should be decided with the officials and producers of different districts. There is need to plan a complete strategy for quality improvement, packaging, marketing and branding of horticulture products and ensure their implementation in a holistic manner. Beekeeping should be encouraged in those districts where floriculture or flower crops are more. Chief Minister Chouhan said that special arrangements should be made for training of gardeners in the state with a view to ensure availability of skilled persons for horticulture, poly houses, nurseries, natural farming etc. In this direction, a strategy should be made by linking agricultural universities.

During the review of Animal Husbandry Department, Chief Minister Chouhan said that Jabalpur has been identified for the plant for CNG production from cow dung. The project should be prepared immediately by sending a team from Jabalpur to inspect the plant operating in Banaras. The technique of making blocks by cutting green fodder also needs to be encouraged. Chief Minister Chouhan told the need to encourage activities like goat and poultry farming, which can be operated in small amounts.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that people engaged in traditional and ancestral fish farming should be encouraged in cooperative activities. A study team of fish farmers of the state should be sent to those states of the country where fish farming is being done using modern methods,. It was informed in the meeting that fish farming activities are also being expanded on the ponds made under MGNREGA. Along with this, a programme of dialogue with fishermen will be organized in the month of March.

Chief Minister Chouhan, while reviewing the Cooperative Department, directed that allotment of plots in cooperative societies should be taken seriously. Strict action should be taken against those committees with irregularities. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to complete the total computerization of cooperative activities in the next six months. Instructions were also given to determine schemes to encourage cooperatives in new areas like rural transport, minerals, tourism, labour, service sector, health etc.

Chief Minister Chouhan while reviewing the Public Works Department instructed to remain alert to ensure quality in construction works and that the guilty must not be spared. He said that massive work is going on in the construction of roads and infrastructure. There is a need to arrange training for the contractors in the state. In this direction, arrangements for training of contractors should be ensured with the help of polytechnic and engineering colleges. Along with this, necessary arrangements should also be made to encourage the engineers who want to become contractors under the Yuva Engineer Yojana. Chief Minister Chouhan said that commercial management of circuit houses and rest houses should be ensured.

It was informed in the meeting that work is going on for 105 railway over bridges in the state. Along with this, the work of safety audit of bridges has been started. They will be maintained as per the audit. Chief Minister Chouhan directed that the Public Works Department should be vigilant about the maintenance of roads and there should be no delay in the maintenance whatsoever. Along with this, small roads in rural areas should also be completed on priority. – Window to News
