Bhopal 05 February 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the NCC organisation boosts the spirit of service to the nation among the students and makes them better human beings. By joining this organisation, students follow the path of virtue and establish high ideals including social service. NCC cadets move ahead with the determination to serve the nation through hard work, training. National Cadet Corps i.e. NCC means patriotism, discipline, character building, development of personality, dedicating life to society and country.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the NCC students of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh at the Chief Minister residence premises today. In the programme, he honoured the students of the two states who had participated in the Republic Day Celebration 2022 held in New Delhi by giving them medals. The programme was organised by NCC Directorate of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Chouhan said that expansion of NCC is necessary, so we have decided to start it in CM Rise Schools. We are going to open 360 CM Rise Schools in the state this year, these schools will have NCC.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that my faith in NCC is so strong that its name first came to mind in the battle against Covid-19. NCC cadets have set an excellent example of dedicated service in saving lives of people from corona infection. The state is proud of the achievements of NCC. He thanked the officers who trained the youth.
Earlier, Additional Director General in-charge of NCC Directorate Rajiv Gautam, while giving information about the activities of NCC organisation, said that the participation and performance of 57 students in Republic Day Parade was commendable. Prime Minister Modi also congratulated the students. Samuel David of Madhya Pradesh received the award for the second best cadet for the Naval Wing. In the year 2021-22, NCC students actively participated in many adventure activities. The students also paid respect to the martyr family. A total of 08 cadets have also been selected for the army.
