Bhopal 14 February 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Saint Ravidas was a saint of all classes. On his birth anniversary, programmes will be organized in the state, district, block and all gram panchayats of the state. He said that grand programmes should be organized everywhere. Saints should be honoured. People should respect such people. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing preparations for the Saint Ravidas Jayanti programme on February 16 at his residence. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and officers of Scheduled Castes Welfare Department were present. All divisional commissioners and district collectors attended the meeting virtually.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state level programme will be held in Bhopal from 12 noon. In this programme, saints will be honoured with darshan-pujan and garlands in the temple of Saint Ravidas. Acceptance letters for skill upgradation of SC trainees will be distributed. Chief Minister Chouhan said that all sections and organizations including scheduled castes will participate in the programme. The programme will be made effective with the cooperation of the public. Public welfare schemes will be promoted with the presence of local public representatives.
Chief Minister Chouhan gave necessary directions to the ministers and public representatives of the districts for organizing the programme. He said that the programme should focus on the Scheduled Castes category. Successful entrepreneurs must be invited to the event. Concerned MLAs should participate in the programme to be held at the development block headquarters. Members of Antyodaya committees, social workers, people of social organizations will participate in the programme.
