Governor attends three-day seminar on International Astrology

Bhopal 16 February 2022: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the concept of family is widespread in Indian culture. In the concept of our culture, the whole world has been considered as family saying Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam. It means that living together with mutual affection and cooperation is the basis of the family.

Governor Patel was addressing a webinar organized by the Central Sanskrit University Bhopal campus on “Marital Life: Problems and Solutions” in the three-day International Astrological Research Seminar from Raj Bhavan today.

Governor Mangubhai Patel said that marital relations form the basis of a family. The ups and downs in married life in Indian society affect all the family members along with husband, wife and children. He said that today in the blind race of modernity, cases of tension, disputes and disintegration in families are on the rise. The reason for this is the indifference of the young generation towards the Indian moral values. He said that the sense of renunciation, sacrifice and dutifulness towards each other among the members of the family can be understood by Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman and his wife Urmila. The story of Savitri-Satyavan is also inspiring. He said that the seven rounds (saat phere) taken at the beginning of married life are also a commitment to the teachings of life. The pheras lead by groom in the first four rounds and the bride in the last three rounds indicates the ideals of marriage ideals.

The Saraswat address was given by Director Central Sanskrit University Mumbai Campus Prof. Bharat Bhushan Mishra. Vice Chancellor Sanskrit University New Delhi Prof. Srinivas Varkhedi, special guest Acharya Sanskrit Department Mauritius Prof. Jatindra Mohan Mishra also addressed the gathering. Dr. Dambrudhar Pati proposed the vote of thanks – Window to News
