CM Chouhan will launch PM Awas Yojana Sahariya Special Project today

Bhopal 11 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch ‘Sahariya Special Project’ under PM Awas Yojana in Karahal of Sheopur district on March 12 at 12.30 pm. Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar will be specially present in the programme. Chief Minister Chouhan will inaugurate development works worth about Rs.11 crore and will also perform bhoomi-pujan for development works worth Rs.138 crore.

As many as 19 thousand 166 beneficiaries will be given a benefit of Rs 260 crore in Sahariya Special Project. In Sheopur district, out of the total eligible beneficiaries listed in the Socio-Economic Caste Census Survey 2011 under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, so far 22 thousand 333 houses have been approved. Of these, 7 thousand 956 are families of Sahariya tribe. After listing 19 thousand 166 families of Sahariya tribe who were left out in the survey, they are being given the benefit of the scheme by being registered on Awas Plus App. Of these, 4 thousand 223 beneficiaries are of Vijaypur tehsil, 11 thousand 380 of Karahal tehsil and 3 thousand 563 of Sheopur tehsil.
