Bhopal 12 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that no stone will be left unturned for the honour and welfare of the poor in the state. The government is continuously working in the interest of the poor. In this sequence, today ‘Sahariya Special Project’ has been launched under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Karahal, a tribal development block of Sheopur district. In this project, houses worth Rs 260 crore have been sanctioned to 19 thousand 166 beneficiaries of Sahariya community. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the gathering at the inauguration of Sahariya special project, dedication of development works worth Rs. 150 crore and Bhoomi-Poojan programme at Karahal. Union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar presided over the programme. Chief Minister Chouhan and Union Agriculture Minister Tomar also launched Gir Cow Breed Improvement Project.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the ‘Sahariya Special Project’ is a wonderful scheme in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. It is a day of joy for the poor families of Sahariya community today. He said that construction of 19 thousand 166 houses would change the life of Sahariya families. The Chief Minister said that the state government is a government of the poor, farmers and women, until all of them are uplifted, I will not sit still.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government has taken a pledge to provide every poor with a pucca house for which provision has also been made in the budget. He said that arrangements for cement and other materials should be made together for the houses to be built in such a large number, so that the beneficiary can get the material at low rates and they do not have to wander to arrange it. He also directed the District Collector to make arrangements in this regard. The Chief Minister said that bricks should be procured from self-help groups which are manufacturing bricks, so that the groups also get benefits. Those who engage in irregularities in this work will not be spared.
Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the women of self-help groups of Aajeevika Mission. He said that the women of the group are making good profit by producing soap, detergent, guava, herbs and spices. He also spoke about their economic and social upliftment by connecting needy women with the groups. Chief Minister Chouhan said that financial assistance is being given to those running shops on footpaths under the street vendor scheme. Along with this, provision of special marks in police constable recruitment is being considered for such tribal youth, who are physically strong and agile. Along with this, arrangements have been made to connect more and more youth with employment through employment fairs in every district. The Chief Minister said that youth are being linked with employment by arranging vehicles to be used in "Ration Aapke Gram" Yojana. The responsibility of distribution of ration in each village under the scheme has also been entrusted to the tribal youth.
He said that action would be taken to add the deprived families in the eligibility list from getting ration. Chief Minister Chouhan said that 5 kg ration is being given to poor families under "Pradhan Mantri Khaddyan Yojna" and 5 kg ration under "Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojna" at Re 1 per kg. The state government will not to be sleep hungry to any poor.
Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar said that Chief Minister Chouhan has given gifts worth Rs 400 crore to Sheopur district today. He said that today is a fortunate day for Sheopur district, where tribals have been gifted with the construction of 19 thousand 166 houses under a special project at a cost of Rs 260 crores. This amount will be sent directly to the account of the housing beneficiaries. He said that development work is going on at a rapid pace in the entire Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan. In this, all-round development is being done with infrastructure like electricity, roads, ponds, drinking water, education, health.
Union Minister Tomar said that there was a time when people dreamed of owning a house. Now this is not the situation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a pledge that no poor will remain without a roof. So far 32 crore houses have been constructed for villagers in the country. Most of the houses have been built in Madhya Pradesh. He said that in Sheopur district itself, more than 22 thousand houses were sanctioned to families of Sahariya, Bhil-Bhilalas and Korku tribes, out of which 21 thousand houses have been constructed and griha pravesh has also been conducted. Despite this, houses have been sanctioned under special projects to a large number of tribal families that were deprived.
Distribution of benefits
Chief Minister Chouhan and Union Agriculture Minister Tomar distributed benefits to the beneficiaries under various schemes. Acceptance certificate of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, key of ration vehicle to beneficiaries of "Ration Aapke Gram Yojana", certificates of "Ladli Laxmi Yojana", Kisan Credit Cards to farmers, bank linkage loan cheques to self-help groups, nutritional food amount, "Mukhya Mantri Upchar Yojana" assistance fund, tricycles to physically challenged women and Krishak Kalyan Puraskar certificate were distributed.
Chief Minister’s announcements
- Provision has been made in the budget for construction of medical college in Sheopur district approved by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
- Funds will be made available for the construction of colleges in Karahal and Dhodhar.
- Budget provision has been made by giving approval for the construction of Moojhanri Dam.
- Approval will be given for the construction of Chetikheda Dam of Vijaypur area within a month.
- Action will be taken to make 14 Van grams of Gaswani as revenue villages.
- Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Teerth-Darshan Yojana will be relaunched.
