Chief Minister Chouhan inaugurates Indore-Gondia-Hyderabad flight
Bhopal 13 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that nowadays Madhya Pradesh is being showered with gifts. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has gifted new roads worth Rs 2200 crore to Madhya Pradesh. Today, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has gifted Indore-Gondia-Hyderabad flight to the state. As per the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Udaan scheme is being implemented in the country. The dream of the common man of the country is coming true. Many small and medium cities of the country are being connected by air travel. It is also matter of joy for Madhya Pradesh. With a boost to economic activities in the state, increased air connectivity will boost tourism and increase activities in places of religious importance.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the launch programme of Indore-Gondia-Hyderabad flight virtually from the residence office. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Former Speaker of Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan, Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silavat, Culture and Tourism Minister Sushri Usha Thakur, MP Indore Shankar Lalwani, MLA Ramesh Mendola, MLA Smt. Malini Laxman Goud, public representatives and officials were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that a glorious, magnificent, powerful, prosperous and enriched India is being built under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In Madhya Pradesh, Union Civil Aviation Minister Scindia has given many gifts to Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur. Flights have started from Indore to Ahmedabad, Goa, Pune. Simultaneously, flights have been started from Bhopal to Pune, Jabalpur and Gwalior to Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai and from Jabalpur to Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad. The state is making steady progress in the field of aviation. The expansion of Gwalior airport has been ensured. Action is also going on for the expansion of Indore airport.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that airlines have played an important role in evacuating all the citizens of India with the efforts of Prime Minister Modi during the Russia -Ukraine war in adverse and difficult circumstances. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has gone to Rumania and brought thousands of citizens of the country safely.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that speed is being given to connect small towns of the state by air travel. Consideration is being given to connect the important places from the point of view of tourism with air services and helicopter service. Helicopter service will be started from Khajuraho to Panna Tiger Reserve, Jabalpur to Kanha, Khajuraho to Orchha, Gwalior to Shivpuri and historical places of Morena, Indore to Maheshwar etc. Places of tourism and religious importance in the state will also be connected by air. Air connectivity is also necessary for investment in the state. Indore is the commercial capital of the state, efforts will continue to start international flights from here.
