Waqt ki Awaz Seva Samiti Members Also Planted Saplings
Bhopal 15 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted saplings of Kadamba and Cassia in Smart Garden. Along with Chief Minister Chouhan, members of Waqt ki Awaz Seva Samiti Prakrit Jain, Sushri Ashti Sharnagat, Sushri Anuradha Jain and Sushri Divya Patle also planted saplings.
About 200 saplings have been planted by the committee dedicated to environmental protection and social upliftment and the continuous efforts of public awareness towards environmental protection are being encouraged. Through the committee, blood donation, breakfast-food to the poor and helpless people and children and clothes, blankets etc. to the needy are provided from time to time.
The Kadamba planted today is famous in Ayurveda for its medicinal properties. Its flowers have special significance. The fragrant flowers of Kadamba are mentioned in ancient Vedas and compositions. The bark and leaves of Cassia are used in making Ayurvedic medicines.
