Bhopal 16 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that reputed corporate business houses and top companies of different sectors should be invited to invest in various areas in the Investors Summit 2022. Continuous efforts should be made to set up units in new areas of investment including Pharma & Medical Devices, Textile & Garment Manufacturing, Agri & Food Processing, Bio-Technology, Start-ups, Engineering Automobile & Electric Vehicles, Logistics and Warehousing. For this all the concerned departments should play an active role.

Chief Minister Chouhan was discussing with senior officers the preparations for the Investors Summit 2022 to be held in the month of November in a meeting held at his residence today. This summit will be held in Indore. Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajvardhan Singh, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Om Prakash Sakhlecha, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Manish Rastogi and other officers were present in the meeting.

Road shows to be held before investors summit

Chief Minister Chouhan said that investment has increased in the state as a result of the investors summit held in the previous years. Youths have also got employment. He himself will go to the road shows in New Delhi and Mumbai ahead of the upcoming summit. Chief Minister Chouhan urged for participation in road shows by the ministers Rajvardhan Singh and Sakhlecha in other major cities of the country. Chief Minister Chouhan is also likely to finalize his visit to Davos and Germany in the month of May for the international road show.

It was informed in the meeting that Ambassadors based in India from different countries would also be invited to the Investors Summit. Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Shukla informed about the programme scheduled for the proposed road shows from April to July in major places of the country like Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad. Secretary Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises P. Narhari informed that the coming June 27 is International MSME Day.
