Took Stock of Horticulture Crops at the Farmhouse in Vidisha
Bhopal 19 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with his wife took stock of horticulture crops at his farmhouse in Vidisha today evening. Chief Minister Chouhan inspected the quality of tomato plants as well as obtained information about other horticulture crops. The Chief Minister also stressed on promoting organic farming in informal discussions with the media persons at the farmhouse.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is a leader in traditional farming. To increase their income, farmers should grow other crops besides traditional farming of wheat, paddy. He said that it is necessary to pay more attention to natural farming because chemical fertilisers harm the fertility of the soil and have a bad effect on human health. Today is the time that we should do natural farming that is use cow dung, Jeevamrut etc as manure. Its benefit is that the production will get a boost and the ability to fight diseases will also increase.
