Bhopal 20 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted saplings of Karanj and Pink Cassia in Smart Garden today. Dilip Raghuvanshi, Harish Chaturvedi, Nitesh Raghuvanshi of Narmada Seva Samiti Sanstha and farmer and social worker of Mandla Sandeep Lohan also planted saplings along with Chief Minister Chouhan.
The organisation has helped more than 25 thousand patients through continuous free camps since the year 2010. Every year, during the rainy season, the organisation also holds tree plantation programmes by connecting with the general public.
The organisation cleaned public places, schools, localities, markets by running cleanliness campaigns in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Motivated the children and the general public for cleanliness by writing cleanliness slogans on the walls. By taking oath of cleanliness, people were motivated to throw garbage in dustbins and keep dustbins in homes and shops. The organisation is continuously working for human welfare and environment by working among the common people.
The bark and leaves of Pink Cassia planted today are used in making Ayurvedic medicines. Karanj is considered important in Ayurvedic medicine. Karanj is also used in religious ceremonies – Window to Newsri
