Complete Irrigation Projects in Time-Limit: Chief Minister Chouhan

Bhopal 29 March 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is the priority of the state government to continuously increase the irrigation capacity in the state. The work of various under-construction irrigation projects in the state should be completed within time-limit. He also inspected the map of irrigation projects. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the 73rd meeting of Narmada Control Board at Mantralaya today. Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silawat, Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Kamal Patel and Minister of State for Narmada Valley Development Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Ramkhelawan Patel, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Narmada Valley Vikas I.C.P. Kesari, Principal Secretary Finance Manoj Govil and other officials were present. Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh virtually joined the meeting.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that under construction irrigation projects should be completed expeditiously. There should be no laxity. He said that some projects should be completed by the year 2022 and some projects by the year 2023.

Chief Minister Chouhan and Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Patel offered each other sweets for making Harda district cent percent irrigated district and for approval of various irrigation projects.
