CM Chouhan conducts review of works of M.P. Jan Abhiyan Parishad
Bhopal 01 April 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the voluntary organizations which have done good work during Corona period must be honored. Cooperation of Jan Abhiyan Parishad can also be sought along with the implementation of public welfare schemes, in the social audit of ration shops at the village level.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a review meeting of Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad at Mantralaya today. Finance Minister Jagdish Deora, Vice-Chairman of the Parishad Vikas Upadhyay and Dr. Jitendra Jamdar, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Economics and Statistics Mukesh Chandra Gupta, D.G. Jan Abhiyan Parishad B. R. Naidu and Executive Director Dr. Dhirendra Pandey were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that voluntary organizations affiliated to Jan Abhiyan Parishad should cooperate in public welfare schemes, tree plantation, water conservation campaign and in spreading the message of women empowerment up to the village level. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Jan Abhiyan Parishad should contact all the voluntary organizations operating at village, block and district level and connect them with purposeful activities. Among the activities of the institutions, misuse of resources, violation of rules, conduct of work against the provisions and indulgence in activities which are not in national interest must be monitored.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Parishad should work in urban areas as well as in rural areas. Chouhan said that the Parishad should support the expansion of Ankur campaign to promote tree plantation. For this, an environment must be created to develop the habit of planting saplings in people.
The progress report of the activities conducted by the Parishad was presented in the meeting.
Information about the manifestation committees activated in the state, progress of Chief Minister’s community leadership capacity development course, preparation of water security plans of panchayats under Atal Bhujal Yojna, survey work conducted in Alirajpur and Jhabua in State Hemoglobinopathy Mission, Kranti Surya Jannayak Tantya Bhil Gaurav Yatra and Samrasta Sankalp programme being held in each Seva Basti of each development block on the state’s foundation day – Window to News
