Bhopal 04 April 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that every citizen will have to take a pledge for the development of the village and the city. Everyone must take part in development. National poet Dada Makhanlal Chaturvedi was an Indian soul who has spread the fragrance of this soil across the world. His birthday is being celebrated as Pride Day. Similarly Pride day should be celebrated in every city and village. The concept of Gaurav Diwas is that all of us should get become a part of the development of our village and city. This is not just a government job. It is everyone’s job to move towards development and forge a new Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the Pride Day programme organized in Makhan Nagar. He told to conceptualize together how our village and city should become developed. We will leave no stone unturned for the development of the state. Cleanliness drive has been started in Makhan Nagar for which the district administration, public representatives and citizens of the area deserve to be congratulated. In Indore, the public joined the cleanliness campaign, so Indore has become number one in the country in cleanliness. Chief Minister Chouhan said that we all have to work together in the campaign of water conservation, cleanliness and saving electricity.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state has developed rapidly. It has become a developed state from a Bimaru state. He said that wheat procurement has started. Wheat from the state and Narmadapuram will be exported abroad. If wheat is exported, farmers will get higher prices. Wheat of our state is also known as Golden Grain, MP Beet.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the wheat crop has been cut. A cowshed must be opened for the protection of gau-mata. Chief Minister Chouhan appealed to the citizens present not to burn Narwai after harvesting as its smoke spreads pollution. Straw should be made from Narvai to protect cows. He said that a lot of work has been done in Indore in the field of cleanliness. Manure and CNG are being produced there from waste. This work should be done in Narmadapuram also. Cleanliness also prevents disease. Decision should be taken in every village to be ahead in cleanliness.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that CM Rise Schools equipped with library and smart classes are opening in the state. Children of the poor will get good education in these schools. He said that we are creating new history in Madhya Pradesh with medical education now to be available in Hindi. We are now teaching in our own language in our own country. Learning English is not a bad thing but our own language must make progress.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana is starting once again from April 21. The amount given under the scheme has been increased from Rs.51 thousand to Rs.55 thousand. A committee will be formed to ensure that there is no mistake in this. The district level committee will decide that the girl child gets the best. He said that on May 2, Ladli Laxmi Diwas will be celebrated.

Also, the teerth - darshan yatra is starting from April 19. The government will pay the medical college fees of poor and meritorious children. Chief Minister Chouhan said that malnutrition has to be eliminated. Poor children come to Anganwadis, if they get good food there they will not have to be malnourished. Farmers can give food grains for Anganwadi. Children of our villages must not be weak or thin.

All should save electricity and water together

Chief Minister Chouhan said that we have to make electricity and water saving a habit. He said that the government has given Rs 21 thousand crore to provide electricity at minimum cost to the poor sections. Let us take a pledge that we will not waste electricity. If we stop wasteful expenditure, we can save Rs 4 thousand crores. The Chief Minister said that this year Rs 12 thousand crores are being spent on tap-water scheme for water. For this also take a pledge that you will not waste water. Save water as much as you can, if water is saved then it will be useful for others. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government works for the people. The public should also cooperate in this work. The quality of development works being done in the area should be maintained, for which the general public should also monitor it. He said that bulldozers are being run on the illegal land possessed by criminals, goons and rogues. I will destroy those who do injustice in such a way that they will not be able to recover. Injustice has to end. It is necessary to suppress criminals. Let all take a pledge not to give bribe. Steps have to be taken to end social evils.

The Chief Minister said that drug abuse is the root of destruction. Liquor shops will not open on the banks of Narmada. Drug de-addiction campaign will be launched in the state. Let all take a pledge that we will make our village drug-free. We want Ram Rajya should return in the state.

Dedication and bhoomi-pujan of development works worth Rs one hundred crores

Chief Minister Chouhan dedicated and performed bhoomi-pujan various development works worth Rs.100 crore on the Gaurav Diwas of Makhan Nagar. Chief Minister Chouhan also announced to build an auditorium in Makhan Nagar in the memory of Pt. Makhanlal Chaturvedi.

Minister in-charge of Narmadapuram district Brijendra Pratap Singh said that the state is constantly developing under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan. Recently Hoshangabad district was renamed as Narmadapuram and today on the birthday of Pandit Makhanlal Chaturvedi, his birth place Babai has been named as ‘Makhan Nagar’, due to which there is an atmosphere of happiness among the local citizens.

Member of Parliament Uday Pratap Singh said that Chief Minister Chouhan visits daily and takes stock of the development works done in the area. Along with this, he also reviews the progress of the schemes by taking daily meetings of the officers through video conference. Due to their efforts, our state has come out of the category of Bimaru state and has come under the category of developed states. He said that Chief Minister Chouhan has earned the credit of being the BJP Chief Minister with the longest tenure.

MLA Sohagpur Vijay Pal Singh thanked Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for naming Babai as Makhan Nagar. He requested the Chief Minister to make Van-grams of the area as Rajasva grams and stop dams on the river in some villages facing drinking water crisis. He requested Chief Minister Chouhan to build a cultural building in the memory of Dada Makhanlal Chaturvedi in Makhan Nagar. In the programme, the girls presented an enchanting tribal folk dance.

Festive atmosphere in Makhan Nagar

The entire Makhan Nagar wore a festive look since morning on Monday on the birth anniversary of national poet Makhanlal Chaturvedi. Cleanliness drive was carried out in the entire city since morningThe statue of Dada Makhan Lal Chaturvedi was specially decorated. People decorated their houses and establishments. There was a different enthusiasm in every citizen regarding the Pride Day. Children, women and elders celebrated the joy of Gaurav Diwas. Fireworks were fired at various places in the city.
