Universities Should Cooperate In the Placement Efforts of Students : Governor Patel

Bhopal 05 April 2022: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that universities should cooperate in the placement efforts of the students. Effective monitoring of career counselling and planning related arrangements should be done. Governor Patel was addressing the first meeting of the Governing Body of Pt. S.N. Shukla University at Raj Bhavan.

Governor Patel said that the art of living should be included in the education of the students. It is necessary to educate and inculcate the students with knowledge, skills as well as life values. Lectures on formal events may not yield the expected results. For this, continuous efforts should be made in the arrangements of the University. He called for a comparative examination and uniformity of the statutory provisions and ordinances of Pt. S.N. Shukla University with those of traditional universities.

A four-member committee under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Pt. S.N. Shukla was constituted unanimously to examine the legislative provisions and ordinances of the university with those of traditional universities. The committee included Vice Chancellor Vikram University, Commissioner Higher Education, Registrar Barkatullah University and Registrar Pt. S.N. Shukla University.

Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Shailendra Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor D.P. Ahuja, Finance Secretary Gyaneshwar Patil, Vice Chancellor of the University Mukesh Tiwari and other members of the Governing Body were present – Window to News
