Industrial units should give priority to local youth in employment: CM Chouhan

Bhopal 08 April 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that industrial units investing in the state should give priority to local youth in employment. Industrial units should work with sensitivity and promptness in providing necessary training and skill upgradation to the youth residing around the places where industries are being set up. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the bhoomi-pujan programme of the new industrial unit of Endurafab being set up at a cost of Rs.800 crore at Dotria near Badnawar in Dhar district. Chief Minister Chouhan participated virtually from the residence office.

Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon and MLA Neena Verma were present at the bhoomi-pujan site in Dotria, Badnawar. Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Sanjay Shukla attended from the Chief Minister’s residence office.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is setting records in all fields. Remarkable achievements have been made in the production of wheat and rice. Special attention is being paid to food processing. Along with agriculture, we are moving towards setting a record in the industrial development of the state. Exports worth Rs 10 thousand crore has been made in the pharma sector from the state. Employment opportunities are also being created in the state by investing in industries. In the last three months, the state government has connected 13 lakh 50 thousand youth with self-employment. Chief Minister Chouhan said that we are moving towards realizing the resolve of Prime Minister Modi to make the state proud, prosperous, glorious and empowered.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Endurafab is going to set up a plastic waste recycling plant at a cost of Rs 800 crore for the production of technical items and for protecting the environment. About 2 thousand youth will get employment from this industry and about 4 thousand families will be benefited directly and indirectly. About 36,000 tonnes of plastic waste will be converted into valuable items from this plant. These items will also be exported and foreign exchange of about Rs 400 crore will be generated annually.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that this unit coming up in Badnawar would prove to be a milestone in the industrial development of the area. With its establishment, activities will also start to connect Pithampur and Ratlam industrially. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is the best state in terms of industrial investment. Along with being an island of peace, it has ample forests, natural resources like minerals and water resources.
