Governor Attends Shaurya Diwas Celebrations of Central Reserve Police Force
Bhopal 09 April 2022: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the example of service and loyalty has been set by the Central Reserve Police Force. The proud history of the force shows that the force is fully capable of successfully undertaking any challenging task under any circumstances. He said that Shaurya Diwas is also a day to take pride in the valour and bravery of the Central Reserve Police Force and to express the country's trust in our police forces.
Governor Patel was addressing the Shaurya Diwas organised in Bhopal campus of CRPF Group Center Madhya Pradesh Sector. He symbolically dedicated the Narmada water supply and inaugurated the place of Surya Namaskar.
Governor Patel said that since its establishment, the force has been faithfully fulfilling the responsibility of internal security. The force has discharged its responsibilities in a very professional manner fearlessly without any bias. It has become the world's largest paramilitary force. He said that to commemorate the bravery of the Central Reserve Police Force on the Sardar Post in the Rann of Kutch, remembering the immortal martyrs and taking inspiration from their sacrifices is to be grateful to them. He said that all the brave martyrs of the police forces who made their supreme sacrifice will always remain immortal in the memory of our countrymen. All the policemen will get inspiration from their service and dedication. He also told the need to acquaint the youths with the stories of valour of the freedom fighters.
Governor Patel has also asked to inscribe the mantras to be recited along with the postures on the idols of various asanas in the newly constructed Surya Namaskar complex in the camp. He appreciated the tree-planting, water-conservation, cleanliness etc. campaigns carried out by the force from time to time for social work and environmental protection along with the challenges of law and order. He expressed happiness over the formation of the first women battalion in the central police forces by the CRPF. He paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the country. On this occasion, District and Sessions Judge Giri Bala Singh, wife of martyr CRPF officer Late Rakesh Kumar Singh and Laxmi Devi, wife of Jawan Harishchandra Pal were honoured.
MLA Rameshwar Sharma said that with the spirit of ‘Ma Tera Vaibhav Amar Rahe, Hum Din Chaar Rahe Na Rahe’, the Central Reserve Police Force is serving the motherland India. Tributes to the soldiers who laid down their lives to protect and honour the symbols of the nation. He said that the police force is carrying forward the glorious Indian tradition of valour, bravery and sacrifice with integrity and dedication.
Inspector General Central Reserve Police Force K. Vijay Kumar expressed gratitude. Deputy Inspector General Sanjay Kumar told in the welcome address that the force is deployed outside the country in the mission of the United Nations. The force was also sent to Sri Lanka along with the Indian Peace Keeping Force. The campus is spread over 250 acres. The camp was established on 7th April 1994 in Bhopal. Force officers, kin of jawans and administrative officers reside in the premises. For these, facilities of Composite Hospital, Family Welfare Centre, School, Post Office, Shopping Complex and E-rickshaw for movement have been made available. He told that the force was established in the year 1939 as a battalion in Neemuch.
Governor Patel paid homage to the immortal martyrs at the Martyrs Memorial (Shaheed Smarak) in the Camp premises of the Central Reserve Police Force and took the Guard of Honour. He also visited the exhibition on Shaurya Utsav. In the Shaurya Utsav programme, the CRPF Family Welfare Association presented a dance drama centered on Ganesh Vandana, Ghoomar dance and bravery stories of CRPF.
