Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana Will Start Again From April 21

CM Chouhan Reviewed the Preparations

Bhopal 16 April 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the popular Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, which provides assistance to families for the marriage of daughters, is being re-launched in the state. It was postponed during the Corona period. Now the scheme is being started with increased assistance amount and better arrangements. For the effective operation of the scheme, the concerned staff in all the districts has to be sensitive and play an active role. The cooperation of social organisations will also be obtained. A mass marriage will be organised under the scheme on April 21 at Nasrullaganj in Sehore district. Chief Minister Chouhan will be present in this programme.

Chief Minister Chouhan was discussing with the senior officers at his residence today regarding the re-launch of the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. Chief Minister Chouhan received information about the preparations being made by the Sehore district administration through video conference. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena and other senior officers were present.

There should be complete transparency in the implementation of the scheme

Chief Minister Chouhan said that there should be complete transparency in the implementation of the scheme. Programmes should be organised with the participation of public representatives and they should be included in the committees. The programme of Sehore district should be such that it becomes a model for other districts. The scheme has been commendable. Therefore, the programme should also be memorable.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the initiative of giving gifts etc. at the social level to the daughters who are getting married is commendable.

Collector Sehore gave a presentation

Collector Sehore informed about the arrangements made for the programme being held on April 21 under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. It was told in the presentation that committees have been formed for mass marriages. Arrangements have been made for the reception of bride, groom and family members, varmala (wedding garland), hospitality of guests, band baja (band and orchestra) and fireworks. The gifts to be given to the couples have been arranged after deliberations. In the scheme, provision of Rs. 55 thousand per beneficiary daughter includes material worth Rs. 38 thousand, cheque of Rs. 11 thousand and organising expenditure of Rs. 6 thousand – Window to News
