Global Skill Summit in Bhopal on June 1

Chief Minister Chouhan reviews preparations 

Bhopal: Global Skill and Employment Summit – 2017 will be organized in Bhopal on coming June 1. The Summit will comprise six seminars focused on skill development and employment. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the preparations of the summit at the Mantralaya. Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajeev Pratap Rudy and representatives of the business world would be present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the summit is significant from the point of view of the creation of new opportunities of employment. Complete all preparations of this significant event within time limit. There will be 437 Intention to employ in the summit through which 3 lakh 17 thousand 451jobs will be created. There will be 214 Intention to Skill through which the skills of 2 lakh 22 thousand and 816 persons skill will be enhanced.

It was told during the meeting that the topics of the seminars to be organized in the manufacturing sector during the summit include skill development and employment opportunities, job-oriented higher education, self-employment opportunities, opportunities and challenges of recruitment of skilled manpower, opportunities for skill development and employment in tourism sector and skill enhancement and employment for women. Various MoUs will be signed for skill development during the summit. Apart from 1500 representatives others who would be taking part in the summit include Principal Advisor of Kaushal Vikas Kshetra, Directors of educational institutions, representatives of Banking Sector, Niyojankarta agencies and main NGOs working for youth empowerment.

Make State the Best in Ease of Doing

Chief Minister Chouhan reviewed the implementation of investment proposals made in the Global Investors Summit – 2016 during the meeting. He instructed that the proposals be regularly monitored. He instructed that efforts should be made to make the state best in Ease of Doing Business sector. It was told that preparations were being made to make 30 services related to various departments under Single Window System through Invest Portal available.

Rajya Rozgar Nirman Board Chairman Hemant Deshmukh, Chief Secretary B.P. Singh, Principal Secretaries to Chief Minister Ashok Vernawal and S.K. Mishra, Principal Secretary Commerce and Industry Mohammed Suleiman and senior officers of related departments were present at the meeting.-WTN
