Bhopal 20 April 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the implementation of the decisions of CM Conclave with senior officers of the departments in Mantralaya. Madhya Pradesh is working speedily on implementing the decisions of the CM Conclave. This conclave was held in Varanasi on December 13 and 14, 2021 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh will work on the implementation of the decisions taken in the Conclave in a better way. The concerned departments should regularly complete the works related to important programmes of general public welfare, flagship schemes and depositing funds in the accounts of the beneficiaries. This facility should be started in the schemes in which the facility of direct transfer of amount to the beneficiary’s bank account has not yet been developed. Chief Minister Chouhan received department-wise information about the decisions of the Conclave.

It was informed in the meeting that approval of more than 30 lakh families has been given for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the state. About 4 lakh houses have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. A target has been set to build 40 to 50 thousand houses per month.
It was informed that DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) is applicable in 134 schemes of 21 departments including various types of scholarships in the state. So far, an amount of Rs 17 thousand 867 crore has been transferred. There is a system of Aadhaar enabled payment system for distribution of Pradhan Mantri Kisan-Kalyan Yojana, Chief Minister Kisan-Kalyan Yojana and Tribal Scholarship. In the contribution of the state in making the Indian economy worth $ 05 trillion as per the decision of the Conclave, the Madhya Pradesh government has made a provision of Rs 40 thousand 916 crores for agriculture and agro-based activities in the year 2022-23 and Rs 2850 crores for promotion of industrial activities. In the current financial year, the capital expenditure has been increased by 20 percent from the revised estimate of last financial year to Rs.48 thousand 800 crore. Efforts are also being made for ease of doing business to make business and economic activities more convenient in the state. The goal is to double the procurement process from the GeM portal. Digital transactions have been promoted. The projects of 23 major departments are regularly reviewed at the higher level.

Swachh Bharat Mission

In the last financial year, 2 lakh 66 thousand 338 eligible families without toilets were identified under Swachh Bharat Mission. Out of these, 2 lakh 50 thousand 526 family toilets have been constructed. The Bhoomi Awas Adhikar Yojana has also been launched , in which residential plots are being provided to landless persons. In Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission, out of 66 lakh targeted families, more than 41 lakh families have been linked with self-help groups.

Pride Day

Action has been taken to celebrate Village Pride Day for one day in a year in all the villages of the state. The date of Pride Day has been fixed by organizing gram sabhas in 48 thousand 14 villages of the state. The date of Nagar Gaurav Diwas has been fixed from 403 bodies of the state. Gaurav Diwas programmes have also been organized in many cities of the state. The participation of the general public is also being seen in the programmes and they have been active for the development of their towns and villages.

Inclusion of Indian Knowledge System in Curriculum

In the Chief Minister’s Conclave, the states were asked to make efforts regarding the inclusion of the Indian knowledge system in the curriculum. In this direction, Madhya Pradesh has included the Indian knowledge tradition in the curriculum prepared for the first year at the undergraduate level. Courses based on rich Indian tradition and local heritage are included as an option in the open elective group. These include philosophical contemplation of Ram Charit Manas, general introduction of folk dances of the state, present context of Bhagwat Geeta. In the context of National Education Policy 2020, efforts have been made for vocational training by connecting schools with industrial training institutions from Class VI onwards. Action has been taken to connect ITIs of Indore and Betul with 5 schools each.

Efforts in health, nutrition, agriculture

Discussions were also held in the meeting on strengthening the GST collection system at the state level under commercial tax, implementation of ownership scheme in revenue and starting Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Center in health. The Additional Chief Secretary Health informed that more than 11 thousand health and wellness centers would be developed in the state by the end of the year. Presently more than 9 thousand centers are functional. The campaign to adopt Anganwadi is being successful in the state. The local community has started the work of donating pots with different grains for the Anganwadi center. Efforts are being made for natural farming. 605 FPOs in the state are engaged in seed, agricultural inputs, milk and other agriculture related activities. Specialized FPOs are also being formed, which will conduct activities by selecting products like oilseeds, honey, bamboo, aromatic paddy. Regular review of projects costing more than Rs.100 crore is also being done at the Chief Minister’s level. Under Ujjwala Yojana 2.0, 1.25 lakh beneficiaries have been benefited. Efforts to promote exports are also successful. The facility of ‘One Nation-One Ration Card’ has been given to the consumers at fair price shops, as a result of which the consumers are entitled to get ration material from other places also.
Identified services are being provided within the time-limit in the Public Service Management. In Samadhan Ek Din, 35 major services are being provided. More than 1 crore 67 lakh citizens have been benefited from these services in the state.
Mega Investment Summits have been initiated in Indore and Bhopal to promote industrial investment. Decision has been taken for Madhya Pradesh Investors Summit-2022 in Indore in the month of November. The Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion has also prepared an outline for the roadshow before the summit. Chief Minister Chouhan also meets investors every week. Efforts are being made to increase the sale of products by identifying the products in all the districts under ‘Ek Zila Ek Utpad’.
