Governor Mangubhai Patel attends Yuva Parichay Sammelan
Bhopal 24 April 2022: Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the role of Parichay Sammelans in marital relations is very important in the modern self-centred lifestyle. He said that Adivasi Seva Mandal should take the cooperation of the educated in coordinating matrimonial relations. Educated youth must be identified in every village, who can take initiative for matrimonial relations and support families in matrimonial alliances.
Governor Mangubhai Patel was addressing the Yuva Parichay Sammelan organized by Adivasi Seva Bhopal Mandal. In the programme, Sharad Singh Kumhare was awarded for his outstanding contribution in the field of environmental protection and social service with the Late Urmila Singh Memorial Award and Medical Social Worker Ayurvedacharya Yashwant Thakur Tekam was honoured with the Dr. B.L Singh award. Yashwant Thakur’s award was received by his representative.
Governor Patel said that family is an important institution in social life. The basis of successful family life is a long married life. Therefore, determining the marriage relationship is a very important task. There should be a serious discussion on all aspects before marriage. There should be no haste in marriages. Young people should be given the opportunity to understand each other. Parents should also give importance to the wishes of the children. Marriage is a sacred relationship that has to be maintained throughout life.
We should support each other in sorrow and happiness. There is no difference between husband and wife. In the responsibilities of the family, both have equal responsibility. This is indicated in the tradition of pheras. In the first four rounds, the groom remains ahead. In the last three rounds, the bride stays ahead. It is natural to have quarrels between husband and wife in married life. There should be no fights due to prejudices. Appreciating the work being done by Adivasi Seva Mandal, he said that the activities of social organizations are very important in the social, cultural life-values and betterment of the society. It is the responsibility of the social institutions to cooperate collectively in the society, help in the development of harmony and liberal feelings.
Initially, Governor Patel offered prayers at Bada Dev Temple. The Governor was welcomed with a traditional dance based as per tribal tradition. The Governor was welcomed by applying haldi tilak and was presented with a bouquet, a yellow gamchha and memento. Children of Manthan Art Group gave dance-song performances, young men and women introduced themselves and expressed their expectations regarding their future life partner.
