Bhopal 08 May 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that when daughter smiles, my life becomes successful. Today my life became fruitful and becoming a Chief Minister became meaningful. There are 42 lakh 14 thousand Ladli Laxmi daughters in the state today. Chief Minister Chouhan appealed to the daughters to always respect and honour their parents. He told them never to forget their mother. We owe our existence to our mother. The Chief Minister said that it is due to Ladli Laxmi Yojana that the sex ratio of daughters in the state has increased to 956. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the state level programme of Ladli Laxmi Utsav at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal where he launched the Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Tourism and Culture Minister Sushri Usha Thakur were present at the state level Ladli Laxmi Utsav. Member of Parliament VD Sharma, Vidisha virtually joined the programme.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that to become a doctor, a fee of Rs 7-8 lakh is charged in a private medical college. The state government will pay the full admission fees for medical, IIT, IIM or any institute. Rs 25 thousand will be given separately in two installments to the Ladli Laxmis who take admission in college after passing Class 12th. Chief Minister Chouhan stressed upon the girls to worry about their studies instead of worrying about their fees. He said that my Ladlis should never weep, this is my wish. Ladli Laxmi Utsav will be celebrated every year from May 2 to May 12. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Swami Vivekananda had said that a person becomes what he thinks. Daughters will bring glory to the name of their parents, country and state by getting higher education.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that we have created Ladli e-Samvad app, so that daughters can communicate directly with me when needed. This is an attempt to change the lives of Ladli daughters. Chief Minister Chouhan said that in a Panchayat where there will be respect for the Ladlis, where there will not be a single child marriage, where cent percent Ladlis will get admission in the school, no girl child will be malnourished and no crime against the girl child will happen, such Gram Panchayats will be declared as Ladli Laxmi Panchayat. The Chief Minister said that our country is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. May our state move forward, my Ladlis move forward. I want to tell the Ladli Laxmis of the state that do not worry, Mama is with you.
Chief Minister Chouhan inaugurated the programme by performing pujan of girls and lighting the lamp at the launch of the state level programme. Around 7,500 Ladli Laxmi daughters were present at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal. Ladli Laxmis and public representatives were virtually connected to all the districts, development blocks, gram panchayats and urban bodies. Chief Minister Chouhan met Ladli Laxmis before reaching the stage in the programme and welcomed them by showering flowers. A short film focused on Ladli Laxmi Yojana prepared by the Public Relations Department was screened. Initially a Ladli Laxmi girl gave welcome address in the programme. Additional Chief Secretary Women and Child Development Ashok Kumar Shah gave detailed information about the programme. Chief Minister Chouhan symbolically distributed learning driving licenses to three Ladli girls. He also released the Ladli song. Three Ladli Laxmis were honoured for their outstanding achievements.
