Chief Minister Chouhan greets the Prime Minister
Bhopal 09 May 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been heartily congratulated on the completion of 7 years of Atal Pension Yojana. Chief Minister Chouhan said that this is a fulfillment of Prime Minister Modi’s resolve to provide security to the backmost person of the society. The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister, had approved Atal Pension, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana on May 6, 2015.
In Atal Pension Yojana, the contributors get pension from Rs 1000 to Rs 5 thousand per month on completion of 60 years, depending on their contribution. This contribution is determined according to the age of a person at the time of joining the scheme. Half of the total contribution or Rs 1000, whichever is less, is deposited every year in the account of the eligible contributor by the central government.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, the contributors get the benefit of life insurance of Rs 2 lakh on paying an annual premium of Rs 330.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, there is a provision of insurance benefit of Rs 2 lakh in case of accidental death and total disability and Rs 1 lakh in case of partial disability – Window to News
