Governor and Chief Minister inaugurate Tribal Cell office at Raj Bhavan
Bhopal 10 May 2022: Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated Tribal Cell office at Raj Bhavan. Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, public representatives and senior officers were present in the inauguration programme of Tribal Cell office in Sandipani auditorium.
Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the formation of Tribal Cell is a historic opportunity to write a new chapter in the direction of tribal development with united and unanimous efforts for the upliftment of the tribal society. He said that Sabka Saath (Support), Vishwas (Faith) and Sabka Prayas (Efforts)are necessary for development along with social harmony. For social harmony, it is necessary to act and behave sensitively and sensibly. He lauded the promptness of the state government for tribal welfare, implementation of PESA Act and control of genetic disease sickle cell anemia. He said that the state government should coordinate with the central government regarding the plan to provide two cattle rearing units each for the special backward tribes Saharia, Baiga and Bharia.
The scheme will provide for sustainable livelihood. Efforts for nutrition of children of the family will also be strengthened. He has hoped that the cell will assume the responsibility of making and implementing development programmes and schemes within the constitutional framework in accordance with the ground reality of tribal development works. Along with this, it is also necessary to ensure the rights of local tribes on minor forest products, minerals available in local areas, coordination and coordination with non-government organizations operating in scheduled areas. He told the Tribal Affairs Department the need to provide information about the schemes of the central and state governments made for the tribal groups, review progress regularly, and submit the report to the Tribal Cell.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that it is necessary to provide information about the ground reality of implementation of the schemes to the government. The cell has an important role in this direction. The direct control and suggestions of the cell on the schemes will give new impetus to the works of tribal welfare and their implementation will be ensured in a more effective manner. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government is committed to social justice along with social harmony.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government is working as a campaign for the welfare and development of the tribal community. Ration Aapke Gram, Prepration of Devaranya Schemes and phased implementation of PESA Act are part of this campaign in collaboration with the representatives of the tribal community.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that 20 percent of the income from timber will go directly to the Forest Committee. Along with the right of community forest management, converting forest villages into revenue villages, efforts will also be made to give tendu patta work to the local people as a pilot project from the next session.
President Tribal Cell Deepak Khandekar informed that the cell will coordinate the issues related to tribal development. He informed about the members of the cell and the role of the cell. In the inaugural programme held at Sandipani auditorium of Raj Bhavan, folk dances of Bhil and Gond tribes were performed by the artists of Tribal Art Mandal of Bhagoria, Saila and Karma – Window to News
